You can easily adjust the height of the Lifetime portable basketball hoop according to the player's height. It can be set anywhere between 7.5 ft and 10 feet in 6" increments making it usable by people of all age groups. This outdoor basketball hoop is very easy to set up. It is easier to have two adults to put it together. However, I managed with my eight year old.We filled the base up with sand. The Kids love it. Now we cannot stop playing basketball.

I brought this portable basketball hoop for my grandson and he really loves it, his mom and him put it together and they used water instead of sand. By reading the reviews I found out that using water is easily done than sand, so thats what they used.

The instructions are difficult to follow since they consist of only pictures and no text instructions. The first time we bought this, we put it together wrong and by the time we discovered the error it was irreversible. So, we had to return it to the store and get a new box and once we put it together correctly, my 7 year old son has had hours of fun.

I did not give this a perfect rating because it took my hubby like 6 hrs to assemble and not all pieces were included so he had to go to Lowe's in the middle of assembly. He doesnt like stuff like this so maybe that added to the time :) but overall directions were not clear and organized. Other than that, my son loves loves it! Very sturdy....hours of fun!

Ordered this online and it arrived in 1 day! I'm fairly handy so I was able to put this together by myself in about an hour. A couple of pieces could really use 2 people for assembly, so I recommend having someone lend a hand. I filled the base with water and even in recent high winds, I've seen no issues whatsoever. I have the pole set at the lowest setting for my son and it offers lots of room to grow. For the money, it's a great unit. My son and I play almost daily and really enjoy it.

The directions to put this together were horrible. It has cheap parts, and not worth the money. I guess when you buy cheap, you get cheap. The one i really wanted they had sold out of because it was not available. So spend more money to get better quality.

Overall I'm happy with purchase. I think directions could have been better. Hard to see what's going on in the pictures. Also I put sand in the base, makes it difficult to move. Also it took a lot of sand. Put 350lbs of sand and there is still room. Probably will never be moving it again but I wish they would've have suggested how much sand needed to be in the base. I probably would've put water had I know how difficult it would've been with the sand. Wish it would've had an easier way to move the sand around in base not easy with the two little holes.
