This knife set is a great product. It went above and beyond what I expected. It is great for many different food recipies. Chop, dice, slice, peel etc. Would definately purchase again in the future and highly recommend to others looking for a decent knife set.

I bought this set to replace an old one given to me by a friend. I love it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new set. The knives themselves are beautiful and professional looking and you'll always have the perfect knife no matter what you are cutting. They are numbered so they always go back in the right spot in the block and tell you what they are for cutting. Definitely recomend these!!

You've got to ask yourself, "Self, why are these knives so cheap? Why do some other brands charge at least 2 to 4 times as much for one knife as for the entire set?"

Here's why. This is very bad steel. The knives are far too thin to safely use on most vegetables. They are stamped out of cheap stainless steel which does not take a decent edge, and are unsharpenable. Once you have used a really good knife you will understand.

The handles are uncomfortable. The corners of the metal blade are completely squared, making it painful to use properly for any length of time.

The only upside is that these are so cheap that you can buy lots of them when your blades become unuseable after 3 months or so.

Pro: Cheap

Con: Really cheap. Really really cheap

You only really need two knives in your kitchen, anyway. A good 8" Chef knife (or santoku), and a paring knife. Expect to spend a good $80-$100 for a decent one. The paring knife at 3"-4", should cost $20-$40. Get these and follow the care instructions and you will have blades to pass down to your grandchildren.

What an excellent find at Walmart! Unbeatable price! These knives are so sharp, and they look beautiful sitting on my kitchen counter. The selection of knives is great, I love how there's one for any job. The entire set is very large, so make sure you have ample space to set it.

This came with a TON of knives (I may never even use some of them) and they are of great quality. You can't beat the price for them at Wal-mart. WAY better than my 10 year old Farberware set. Durability remains to be seen but they look like they'll last and have the great warranty.

I bought this set as a gift to my step-father and he loves it! I checked out quite a few different knife sets, more and less expensive, but this one seems to be great for the price! All the slots where the knives go are labeled by numbers so you know everytime where to put the knife back after you use it. He has used quite a few of the knives and says that each time he did, he really liked how they cut. He's only used them for about a week now, but he is very pleased with the quality. They're light in weight, but very durable. I would definitely recommend these knives for anyone needing a new, quality knife set.
