Both of these movies I saw when I was younger and were very scary back then. Now they are fun to watch again. Both are 1950's black and white SCI-FI movies with allot of monster action and suspence.
There is some violence in both of the movies.
"Them" is about Giant Ants being found in the western desert area where Scientists and police try to find and destroy them. When they find the first nest, 3 queen ants get away before they have destroyed the nest, and fly off to different locations. The last queen ant location ends up in Los Angeles and they finally fight off and destroy the final nesting place. This is a great movie with allot of suspence and action scenes. The animation of the the ant scenes are not bad for a 1950's movie.
The second movie "Beast from 20,000 fathoms" starts out in the arctic region where scientists set off a nuculear blast which awakens a prehistoric beast. One scientist first sees the monster in which no one believes him at first. From there the movie tries to find the monster as it travels south to the Eastern coastlines of US. It also creates havoc in one city and then is finally destroyed at the end. This movie is also action packed. The animation of the monster is very well done for back in the 1950's.
Acting and the plot of both movies are very good.
Both of these are classic type SCI-FI monster movies, and would recommend anyone that likes the older classic type movies.
