I heard about this book on NPR (KPBS) and was immediately it peaked my interest. This book is a great guide for beginners and the experienced hiker. Meticulously researched and provides valuable guidance. I have this book as a gift to an avid hiker. He loved it! He likes how the book is laid out and found it easy to find hikes that meet his experience level. Now I want a copy! The price is good too. Much cheaper than on Amazon or bookstores. Great value all around.
