I bought the safe and was moving it into my closet and had one of the keys in the slot in the safe and I hit my leg against it and the key snapped right off. I could not get the part that snapped off out of the slot. The key would not turn and I could not use the safe any longer. I had to return it to Wal-Mart. I assume that the safe would have been fine, but the key was very fragile and once it broke, the safe could not be opened again. Thankfully, I did not have any valuables in the safe yet.

i bought this safe to keep cash and jewelry and other miscellaneous items that i feel are very precious to me; so far it's been perfect- i have it placed in my closet; maybe one day i will have it permanently placed on the shelf - i love the keycode plus the actual key access; feels safer that way!

This is a solid built safe with 2- 1/2" deadbolt pins instead of a cheesy lock latch found on lesser expensive models. This qualifies as a safe, and it is very easy to use. For medicines, hand-guns or semi-valuable jewelry, this safe is the perfect choice. For less than 100 dollars, I doubt I could have done any better. The only drawback is that it is light enough to carry if burglarized. It must be bolted down for maximum benefit.

My 12yr old watched too many episodes of It Takes A Thief and has wanted a safe since then. Not wanting to spend more than $100 I found this to be a good fit for him. It holds more than I would have expected, but would have hoped you could get in with either just the key or combination, needs both. When he opened the gift it was met with "YES, YES ,YES". Okay so a thief could walk off with it, but the joke would be on him - the safe only holds his "treasures"!

I work at a halfway house and use this product in order to safely store medications. It is very spacious inside, and has an optional shelf that you can use to maximize the use of the safe. The only issue that I find is that it is a double locking safe, but ..you type in your "code" then you use the key to open it. But, you do not need the code to begin with! Because you can just use the key. But, for a criminal that would try to open it up for example, they will not be able to get it open w/o the key. The safe is large and very heavy, ideal for a nice space in a closet or under a bed. Overall OK but, make sure you do not loose the key!! They charge you $$ to replace it!

A great safe with rugged construction.Good value for the money!Lots of room and you can bolt it to your floor.I used 2" drywall screws,thief would need a blow torch and a crow bar to get up and open.Only thing is front key pad is made with plastic.I would recommend this to my friends!!

Poor quality lock. Bought this safe about 1.5 years ago and was happy with overall quality until the lock broke. After I removed lock, it was apparant the lock mechanism is very cheap quality. Don't be suprised if it fails. I found replacement locks available on Honeywell site for ~$13.

well this product is a very good product concealed hinges prevent unauthorized access to your personal belongings, you can put just about anything in the same like credit cards social security cards money personal papers even computer software cds which ever you'd prefer to be locked up, me personally i prefer to lock up several items for security reasons

The construction was good, and it was just the right size to fit documents and jewlery etc. Unfortunately mine came DOA (dead on arrival), I called Customer support and they just said return it to the store for a refund. Even after they have several papers in the box staying STOP call CS first before you return. Walmart was ofcourse great at returning the product quickly. If you want to take your chances with the electronic keypad not working i would suggest you buy it, a good safe, and you can always use the key to open it.
