I had a digital Oster before this one, and after a year and a half, it just stopped working. I'm hoping this basic Proctor-Silex lasts longer. It's a little deep for the counter top, so I moved it to the corner, and it works just fine. It toasts evenly, and my husband, who can find a problem with anything, seems to like it, and he's used it a few times already. If you order it online, you can save the shipping and have it sent to the store for pick-up. If I'd have seen that feature, I could have saved overt $10, as our nearest Walmart is less than a mile away. I can't comment on Durability yet. Overall, it's a great price for what you get. I only paid $29 plus shipping.

This is my 2nd Protor-Silex 6-slice toaster oven. I had the first one for many years. It is a very durable, reliable appliance. I love it for its compactness, looks and durability. It is inexpensive but yet very sturdy construction. Built-in timer is a must. I found it may be a bit hotter in temperature for most food product recommendation. I always set the temp about 25 to 50F less than the cooking instruction. Hope the manufacturer does not discontinue it.

TOASTS WELL! ALOT OF ROOM TO BAKE A LARGE CASSEROLE DISH. I BOUGHT THE TWO IN ONE TOASTER WITH THE TOASTER SLOT ON TOP AND WITH A SMALL OVEN. THE TOAST GETS CAUGHT IN THE PRONGS SO YOU HAVE TO REDO THE TOAST SO IT SITS BACK ON THE TOAST BAR AFTER YOU PUSH THE SIDE TOASTER LEVER DOWN. I BOUGHT A 4 SLICE TOASTER OVEN FROM WALGREENS BEFORE THIS TOASTER. I RETURNED IT BECAUSE IT WAS A SCARY DISAPOINTMENT!

Have had product for almost a month. Very happy with it. Makes great toast in a short amount of time which is a money saver compared to many other brands. It is very deep(for pizza etc) which could be a drawback if your counter space is extremely limited. A little inconvenient not having the rack pull out when door is opened,but have not found that to be a big deal. Easy to clean and love the crumb pan which easily slides out for cleaning. Seems like a great product for the money. Can't comment on longevety as I have only had it a short time.

This toaster oven was shipped quickly...it arrived the next day even though I didn't expect it until 5 business days later. It is a nice looking, very efficient toaster oven. It gets really hot quickly...so be careful because you might burn your bread. However, once you get accustomed to the settings (or take time to read the instructions, which I didn't) you'll love this toaster!

I haven't tried to use this oven for baking pies yet but it's great for toasting bread & making biscuits. For some reason the door was locking at first, but my boyfriend forced it open and it was fine after that. pretty much easy cleanup with the crumb tray, except there is an area under the door that is really difficult to get to. also, the toaster rack doesn't come out when you open the door so you have to stick your hand in the hot oven to get out what you need. the outside of the oven gets very hot so you can't have stuff on top of it. I'm not too picky so for the price it's overall a great addition to my kitchen!

i agree this is a great value toaster oven. i am totally satsified with its performance. but i also didnt realize how BIG it was going to be. it's really awkward in my kitchen and it's difficult to find a place for it. i would recommend that you take a look at the dimensions and think abot where you're going to put it before you buy this toaster.

After reading all the reviews we decided this would be the best value and would meet our needs. We got it home, cleaned it up and put in a pizza. It took over an hour to cook! We tried it three more times with different items before we returned it. Each time it took at least twice the normal time to cook. It just did not come up to temp. and stay there. Trying a different brand next time.

I just received this. First, let me say, Walmart could not have gotten it to me quicker! I ordered it on the 7th, they shipped it on the 8th, and I got it this morning, the 9th! OK -This seems to be just what I was looking for - a basic & simple toaster oven, that's big enough to actually be useful. The baking tray is very generously sized. Nearly square, it's 11 1/2" x 11" I tested it out, and it heated up quickly & accurately - plus, it toasted nicely. Now, we just have to wait & see if it's reliable & durable. One note: to toast, turn the temperature knob all the way (it is marked 'toast' but it's hard to see because it's printed in brown) & turn the timer past 10 minutes, then back to the toast setting you prefer.

The price is right. Takes some getting used to as compared to the older models where you just pushed a lever down. The grill is odd. Putting it in so that things slide out easily is the way that puts food up high. I'd rather it just be a flat grill. Works great though. Shows dust easily, but it's also easy to clean. Overall a decent product.

This is my second one. The first one I bought was for work because the microwave there wasnt good so I bought this, back in 2007, and it still works great. I just bought another one a few weeks ago for my house so I wont heat up the house in the summer time and also to save on the electric bill. This toaster oven heats up in a minute or less, NO JOKE!!! The adjustable rack is wonderful. I would recommend flipping the rack so that it sits high for Pizza and cookies. The crust and top will brown at the same rate. Muffins should be cooked with the rack set low in the oven. The temp on my oven is very accurate so I can follow the lowest recommended for the package I'm making. It makes wonderful toasted sandwiches and just plain toast! Very easy to clean with just plain soap and water.
