This coffeemaker is nice looking, and very easy to use, but if you enjoy better coffee this probably isn't the coffeemaker for you. The water does not get very hot, so the coffee does not have the flavor you are probably looking for. I still haven't figured out hot much coffee to use - trying to compensate for the low water temp - but it is handy, easy to use, and there is no coffee pot to break (which is what I was looking for). Walmart was great, I received it very quickly in perfect condition. And it definitely does not leak like I saw in other reviews. Overall, it is just ok.

We bought this model when it first came out at christmas time for a discounted price of $25. What a GREAT buy!
We have used this coffee pot daily since Dec 07 and not had a days trouble with it. Some times if grounds get into the finished coffee tank they will get under the rubber seal and cause leaking. This rarely happens and is easily fixed by thoroughly cleaning around that seal or replacing it with the one that comes with the coffee pot.
I have never had better coffee anywhere else or from any other pot and it does not "burn" even when reheated within the pot itself. By far the best feature though is doing away with those glass pots!! We have a 6 yr old and went through more than a few of those glass carafes! There has never been a problem with this coffee pot though and he loves to "press the red button" to start the brewing.
Personally, I do not believe there is a better coffee pot on the market. I hope to soon upgrade to one with the clock/timer feature but this base model has been well worth the money! I would recommend this product to anyone and have...LOL

I do not use a timer on my coffee pot, so I wanted the pot WITHOUT a clock. I figured I already have three clocks in my kitchen, and I do not need another one using up electricity. Therefore I chose this pot. It is the "greener" option.

This is the second Hamilton Beech 12 cup Brew Station I have purchased. The first lasted 4 years which is very good for the number of times we use it (constantly). It is no frills with just an on and off button. Keeps the coffee at a hot temperature and turns itself off after 2 hours. Love it!!

A friend of mine has one of these, and when our coffee maker took a dive, I decided to get one because of not having to deal with a pot. You brew your coffee in the unit and dispense it one cup at a time. However, the only draw back is that it only stays hot for 2 hrs. My previous unit had a thermal carafe, which would keep the pot of coffee hot all day. Now I have to microwave a cup of coffee if I want one later in the day.

It makes a good cup of coffee but it didn't work for my situation. My husband gets up 2 hours before me. By the time I get up, the coffee taste and smells burnt. Even though it stays warm on top, it still is on a burner and shuts of after 2 hours. So when I get up, that great coffee is either gone or burnt tasting and cold.

I love this coffee maker! My mother got it for me a while ago as a gift. They shut off timer is a great feature. Coffee stays hot for two hours and never gets bitter. No scorched carafes or hot plates, no spilling while trying to pour your first cup at 4:30 am :), and best of all, I have never had it leek or stain my counter tops. Get one! It's worth it.

I love this coffee maker...shut off feature sold me plus fits on my counter top without having to rearrange things. Coffe is much hotter in this. One thing I do not like about it is that the opening to pour the water is very narrow. You have to be careful when pouring. Other than that the coffe tastes really good.
