Stylish yet compact, the Step2 Tool Chest Dresser is a perfect storage solution for your kids room. It comes with many racing decals that add a creative appeal to your kids nursery. This kids dresser has a double-wall plastic construction that is durable enough for lifetime use, and it does not require any maintenance. The doors open to a large interior space, which provides ample storage space to keep your childs essentials organized. The interior space is divided by shelves to form various storage sections for cloths, toys, and other accessories. This sturdy plastic dresser blends with the stock car convertible bed and speedway storage chest to complete the racing dcor of your little racers room.
I bought this as a gift for my two year old son who is a disney cars fanatic! I use it more as a storage then a dresser! It hold his DVDs on the first shelf aand his Lego peices in a fabric storage bin on the bottom shelf. The top sits strong enough to hold his 19in flat screen tv!

It's very cute but the stickers get peeled off by my 3 yr old. I also don't like that it is all shelves. Over all it was worth it cause my some loves it so much!

I recently bought 2 of these for my 2 and 6 year olds. We love them. They were a little dusty when we opened the packages, but that is our only complaint. Assembly was easy and painless. Stickers are plentiful. The doors are easy enough for both boys to open and close to retrieve clothes without destroying each folded pile. My 2 yr old cried out "Cars!" when he saw them so it felt nice to buy them an accessory of something they both already love, especially without the price tag.

Do not buy this as a dresser. It's not even close. It makes a great storage for toys. That is what I bought this for and it works fantastic. It looks great in his room with his race car bed and Tires table and chairs. All of which I bought at Wallmart. His room is adorable.

Review 8 for Step2 Tool Chest Dresser
Love this Tool Chest Dresser but have small issues

My Husband and I purchased this Step 2 Tool Chest Dresser & A Step 2 Tool chest Toy Box because we are upgrading our 2 year old Son's Bedroom from Toddler furniture to Twin (Big Boy) Bedroom furniture and we are extremely pleased! We purchased the Twin Sized Step 2 bed second hand and I was looking for some "Racecar themed bedroom furniture" that wasn't Disney Cars and came across these that happen to match the same bed we just purchased! We ordered them as soon as we saw them!
The check-out and delivery were so easy! I picked what I wanted, put it in my cart, paid, and they arrived right on time and the boxes were in such great shape when they were delivered too!
Assembling the Dresser was easy and took about 20 minutes so it was pretty easy but the dresser isn't REALLY a dresser. I knew that it had no drawers before I bought it but my Son had a dresser and would just pull all of the clothes out of it and get His fingers smashed when trying to open/close them so I knew that feature wouldn't bother so much just not real sure why they call it a dresser... My main issue's is the top is not as sturdy as I want. I am wanting to put a Lamp, a few books, and some photo frames on it but the book weighs it down so much I had to take them off and put them on His Toy Box we bought that matches this..... I just find it kind of sad that the Toy Box can hold a few books better than His supposed DRESSER!? & I dont like how the back part of the top part of the dresser isn't plastic but comes with a piece of plywood to screw on and there are gaps between the top and bottom of the plywood..... seems like my Son could loose a few pieces of clothing back there while searching for what he wants:/ we will still keep the Dresser because I like it just a few small things Step 2 was lazy about.. I was SO impressed with the Toy Box I feel like the Dresser was more of a dissapointment in ways.
As well as the Toy Box the stickers were well made on the 'Dresser' too. Most stickers are cheaply made and they sometimes rip when taking them off their panel or if you put a sticker on crooked and try to remove it to fix it they will rip or the stickiness on the back will stay on the item but not in this case. The stickers slid right off the page they came on and went nicely on the 'Dresser' and if we messed up and needed to move the stickers they slid right off the dresser and stuck right back on our desired postion/place.
Bottom line, I would ONLY reccommed if you understand that this 'Dresser' has no drawers, JUST CABINETS, the back part on the top of the dresser is a piece of plywood that you screw on and there are gaps big enough that clothes could/would fall through if not careful, and that the top is not so sturdy but bends with the slightest pressure put onto it. It is cute & made well in some parts of it.

We bought this to use as a tv stand for my 3.5yr old and 7yrs old room. We put a 19" tv on it and it is incredible sturdy. the cabinets are used for the dvd/vcr players and dvd's and videos. This durable and matches the whole Cars theme of his room. It was a little pricey but well worth it.

This is meant to be a cabinet style dresser. It does not come with the baskets in the picture, it states that in the description. It is wonderful for young toddlers that like to help pick out their clothes, and it holds all of of my sons pants, shirts and PJ's. It fits perfect is his CARS room. This product is everything I expected, maybe even better. It is very durable, thick plastic. My sons TV sets on top of it.

The unit is nicely made and good for a young child. Fits in perfectly with the car bed I got for my son. The unit fits all of his books and stuff that we don't want laying around. Not the greatest thing in the world but definitely does what I want it to do. Basically a place to put stuff in so his room isn't so messy.

My wife and I purchased this item for our sons new race car room. He has enjoyed the product greatly since. It's a great place to store his toys and comes assembled for the most part which is another plus. I would certainly recommend this item to friends with a race car theme for their child.

I have a 2year old and since I bought him the convertible car, I decided to buy him this 'dresser'. I think that its more for looks because the dresser itself has no drawers and it can be very easily opened so if you keep anything in there, you will find it outside on the floor the minute your little one starts playing with it :). Also, I think it is made for kids maybe up to like 6 because its fairly short so after a while they will outgrow it. If you want something practical I don't recommend you buy it but if you are ok with it being more of a decorative/toy for your little one go for it.

Bought this for my little guys to go with their Disney cars theme. I store most of their summer clothes in there, and a tv on top. It is sturdy and my door close with no problems whatsoever. I think the movers/handlers should be more careful with people's furniture; I did site to store and the box was all banged up. I was so afraid that the chest would not survive the rough handling, but, it did and I am glad. had a few scratches but nothing to make a big deal about.
If your boys like blue or you have no storage space, buy this. It works!!!!

I know a lot of people complain about the space or lack of drawers but it is exactly what it looks like in the picture! The metal organizers DO NOT come with it! I love it and it looks great in my sons room. If you want the space of a dresser then you will not want this one. My son is 16 months and I fit all of his jeans, shorts, and socks and still have plenty of space.
