This product has been great as we really needed a power converter with 2 plugs instead of one. I can charge my laptop while my son charges his Nintendo DSi and there are no arguments. This product was the same price as others in the store with only one plug. This product comes with terminal adapters as well. It's a little big, but still conceals nicely under the seats and has a long plug in order to compensate. Great value, works perfectly!

The Whistler 400 watt inverter works very well for the purpose for which we purchased it. We do not have it on constantly so I couldn't vouch for an application where it remains on all the time. The quality of the product appears to be very good and it even comes with a spare fuse. I consider it well worth the money.

We bought this inverter to plug in various electronics for road trips and/or camping trips. We recently went on a weekend trip and used it to power our laptop. We've had no issues as of yet. True test will be later this year when we are traveling for the holidays. Some said the fan was loud, we couldn't hear anything over the road noise. Overall good buy!!

This is a good product for the price. You can beat the price compared to the cost for other 400W Inverters. I had no problems using this inverter with my laptop. The cooling fan is a little loud. But I overlooked this issue because of the value it provides. I would recommend this product.

I bought this product and i was weary due to some bad reviews but ignore all that, mines the only one that counts. I hooked this up to a battery in my trunk and powered a 19 inch tv and super nintendo, very fun. Also it has saved me from when i forget to charge my phone many times because i can plug it up to the cig lighter too. It would be good to have on a roardtrip for sure. Or if your power goes out in your house it would be good to have. Also, alot of people complain about the fan? Dont worry about the fan noise, its not loud at all, the only reason you would hear it is if you drive in dead silence without music....... Well i would say buy one if your looking at the reviews.

This thing works great for a laptop computer in the car. the noise is not bad at all, usually way less than typical road noise. the manual cautions about use with a laptop, but it charges the battery very nicely without overheating it. I like the extra set of clip leads for higher power applications. It could use a convient storage container to make it perfect.

Works great! Fans not too bad noisy. Did run a fan and computer charger. It didn't run a small microwave or blow dryer is just lights up a button telling you it's too big of and item to run. It's great for the smaller things though.

The Whistler 400-watt Power Inverter worked fine out of the box. During operation, the fan runs continuously. With a load of a 150W light bulb, adding a load of a 60W charger caused the inverter to trip its overload circuit and shutdown safely. The inverter may not handle high loads near rated 400W.

I got this to run three lights at my hunting cabin, it worked great running the lights all weekend without rechargeing the battery, the fan is a little louder than i thought it would be but not bad what i didn't realize was the fan will run even when your not useing juice from the battery. My only real complaint is that one of the studs was striped when it came easy fix with an extra washer. However for the money you can't go wrong!
