Philips Earbud Noise-Cancel Headphones, SHN2500

Disappointment...

It says that it's noise cancelling but in reality, all it does is disconnects the earphones. Who cares about that when I can just pause my music and get the same result???

Ok, so they aren't the best earphones in the world, but what do you expect for $20. I have had these earphones for a few years now and I don't do air travel without them. The headphones only boast a 70% reduction and I can't say if that is accurate, but I can say that I notice a significant reduction when I use them on a plane. I've also been using them at work now that I'm having to share an office. I've been amazed at how much is tuned out. The cord is super long and they aren't the lopsided (ones that never seem to fit in my opinion). The only downside is the circuitry piece, which can be a nuisance sometimes. It isn't featherweight (although not an anvil either), but sometimes there isn't a good place to rest it so it doesn't pull on the earphones. Overall, I think they are an excellent value for the price. They have been abused over the time I've had them and they still keep working. For someone looking for inexpensive noise-canceling earphones, look no further.

This is a horrible product. I bought it for my office which I share with a co-worker. The sound quality is fine, the noise-canceling feature just turns up the volume slightly.

The main reason for the bad review is after 2 weeks, possibly using the headphones 8 times, the left ear bud quit working.

I brought this item today I was going to purchase the bose earbuds without the cancellation like my Fiance has. They are about 100.00. When i went shopping at walmart i saw these for under 20 bucks. I thought to myself, what could I lose? I got them home and tried them. and well.... They are great!! They cancel out a lot of noise just as advertised. Great sound they are better than his... I am happy with it so far. I will tell you how they hold up after continous use....
