I purchased this cook stove a year ago, It has been used non stop on long camping trips. This is by far the best cook stove I have ever owned. I run it off the propane tank mounted on camper with a quick disconnect. If you are looking for a cook stove like this look no further, this is the one..

Well made and heats up lightning fast. Only complaint is the way the legs attach - a bit cheezy and needs some improvement. Otherwise, its is a real winner.

Liked the design and overall quality, but it was just too heavy for me even when car camping. Legs are too short. Camp Chef makes a All Terrain stove that is almost as nice but 1/2 the weight. They also have expandable aluminum legs that are taller than the steel legs that comes with the weekender stove. I returned the weekender and got a All Terrain and I love it.

Heavy duty campstove, but heavy. Clasps to hold wind screen are poor fit, one just too loose. also bought companion cast iron griil which is really heavy. Legs are a good feature. Does not have igniter to start flame. Must use 20 lb propane bottle. Being over 80 this rig is a bit heavy for me to handle. Should have gone for lighter stove with igniter built in and using smaller bottles of propane. Good for cooking for a larger group.

I really like this stove for camping. It is light weight and portable enough for me to haul around easily yet tough, durable with 30K BTUs on each burner so it gets the job done quickly. The legs that come with it are easy to attach and the suitcase style lid makes it convenient to transport. I would have given it a 5 star all around except that the lowest setting is a little too hot to leave something on at a simmer for long. My old stove would take 30+ minutes to make drip coffee with th 11K BTU burners and even longer to boil water for dishes. The first morning as I sat enjoying my 1st cup, I realized what a great stove this is and the price at Walmart is the best I have seen.

I am an Assistant Scout Master with my sons Boy Scout Troop, and I purchesed one of these stove to try out for our adult patrol in an effort to replace our ageing Coleman stoves. This stove is fantastic. We can cook faster and have more table space for other use with the attachable legs. We are now going to be buying additional stoves for the other patrols in our troop.

The Camp Chef Weekender is a good compromise of portable design, with abundant heating capabilities, in a camping stove. This units 30,000 BTU burners can more than compensate for low outdoor tempertures. We have a larger three-burner unit, but that is too big to pack for the weekend.

For the money spent on this stove, you can't beat the quality, workmanship, and value. While a bit more than what you'd spend on one of the other brands camping stoves, the little bit more is well worth it, you won't be dissapointed, this little powerhouse certainly delivers as promised. While it's true that the legs provided are a bit on the short side, and woud probably sufice for shorter person leg extenters are availabe wihch will bring it up to the height of a home cooking stove. Plenty of room to cook for goup of friends or using the grill accesorie just a dinner for two will work out nicely. One note though....The first one I recieved was damaged by the carrier but I didn't notice until removing from the box. I notifed Walmart and they deirected me to their website for a return form and then provided the return invoice and packing slip which I printed out and afixed to the to return box and no cost to return. I then recieved the replacement within a week. With Walmarts customer service and the quality of the product you can't go wrong. I highly recommend both the stove and Walmat.com's customer service.

The Weekender Camp Chef stove was everything I thought it would be. It worked flawlessly once we figured out how to regulate the heat. It's only shortcoming is that the legs are too short. Camp Chef sells leg extensions, but I made my own out of 1" emt conduit. The supplied legs have the cooking surface at 24". This is way to short for the average camp cook. I raised it to 32". I added two igniters to the burners.

The unit is not very high. I'm short, so it's great for me. But one of my family members is 6 feet 2, and he does not enjoy using the stove. Also, pots and pans slide on the smooth metal surface when you're stirring food; you have to hold on to the pot or pan to prevent it from sliding off the stovetop. Nevertheless, I enjoy the product and use it often.

Mine arrived with two manufacturing defects, which is very annoying for a stove that is supposed to be from a top of the line manufacturer. The method used to secure the side windscreens (a clip and slot) is questionable, and only one side will stay secured. There isn't anything obviously wrong/bent/etc...the clip just falls off what it is supposed to attach to. Also, the spring that holds the air vent wasn't installed properly on one burner, and it doesn't look like I can easily fix it without taking the whole thing apart. I think this one is going back to Walmart as I don't think I want to pay about half what I paid for this stove to ship it (at my expense) to Logan, Utah to be repaired.

I am very pleased with the camp stove. It is light weight enough to move easy but sturdy enough to cook breakfast for 22 people. We used it on a camping canoe/float trip and every one started the day off with a good sound breakfast. Heated dish water promptly. Great purchase. VERY PLEASED.

After removing the grill from the box, I noticed the top was dented. The paperwork in the box indicated not to return the product to the place of purchase but to contact Camp Chef. After doing so, Camp Chef told me to return the product to place of purchase.
