I returned this with no hassles to Walmart after discovering that it is, in point of fact, not wireless. The camera needs to be hardwired into the back up light system of your automobile. If you are willing to do this, it seems like a useful product, but not what I was expecting.

Pros; Cheap, super easy install. can adjust the camera to give you large view or twist down to watch your hitch ball. --- Cons; Supplied wire connector too big for camera wires, had to play with it a bit. The camera base covers the registration tag, will have to move it. --- What a great deal for the money. I hooked mine up to the lights not the reverse lights. I like to turn it off and on at will. The camera can get fuzzy (wireless) but it clears. I compared this to models that were up to 400 bucks. I thought I would buy this to see if I liked the idea of the camera and then upgrade. I will not need to upgrade tho since this thing works great.

Research online will show that most people have a problem with wireless reception between the camera & the monitor. I too experienced the same thing. However, my main problem with this product is that the camera lens itself ended up not being waterproof. Condensation has collected in my lens & the camera is now unusable. Multiple attempts to contact the company has resulted in them ignoring me as if I didn't even exist. Bad product & even worse customer service!

If you have a hatchback SUV, it will be very difficult for you install the camera yourself, and will cost around $300 to have it installed. Also, the dealership will not install it at all since it is an after market product.

I had no problem hooking this thing up. They give you everything you need EXCEPT longer license plate screws. Other than that, installation was a breeze with only two crimp-on connections. It comes with a very long wiring harness, but you shouldn't need much of it. Overall, I love this camera and will probably buy another for my truck.

Pretty decent unit. Took about an hour to install on a Honda Odyssey. Had to drill one hole behind the license plate, easy enough. Works pretty good, rain will cloud the image. After adjustment my wife likes it very much. Might want to relocate the camera to the lower plate holes, currently attached to the upper holes and access to the door latch is very limited. Good product. Have had it for less than one week so we hope it lasts for the long run.

VR3 is a very good idea. However the plastic used for the camera will not hold up to the northern environment. The lens gets opaque and unusable. I have seen numerous in parking lots with the same problem. Regards, SmilenAcadian

This product sounded good in the description but after you buy it and try to install it, you get a surprise. I knew that the Monitor would plug into the 12 volt outlet but I didn't know that the camera that mounts easily on your Plates bracket also has wires. You need to fish them around the inside of the SUV back hatch door, then into the car frame and down to the back up light for power. This may mean drilling holes for the wire. Too complicated, not worth it.

Easy to install. Bolt on to the license tag bolts, run wire along inside of bumper, pull off a tail light assembly, tie wires into the backup lamp wires with quick connections, plug monitor into cig. lighter and when you put car in reverse, the monitor shows a view behind you. I used the quick mount A/C louver mount for my monitor & skipped any glue problems. Still room for air to exit vent. The only thing that is a downer is when the unit is plugged in, my remote keyless entry doesn't work. Must be some kind of signal interference. I'll try moving the monitor to see if that helps but I doubt it.

I bought this to save my truck and marrage. The product is easy to install if you have some mechanical aptitude. I am looking at changing where the monitor is located in my truck. The glue for the monitor stand takes a little heat from the sun and then will not move. The connector for the camera will suffice but could be better. Works really well in daylight through dusk. Does not work well if the only source of light is your tail lights at night. Might be adding a better backup light. Liked it good enough to buy one for my father for christmas present. Will pickup security camera footage while driving might not be good if you have one where you hitch your trailer. End the quarreling with your wife when hitching the boat or camp trailer and save some money with this backup camera.
