Bissell PowerForce Turbo Bagless Upright Vacuum, 6596

This vacuum has good suction, but its the only thing going for it. This is the first day I've had it & used it & It's going back tommorrow.

When using the attachments, the hose has absolutely no give or extra length, I kept getting hit in the head & my side , by the handle every time I moved when the machine tipped over. It's quite impossible to use the attachments with this useless hose.

After vacuuming I could run my finger along the outside of the front of the canister of the vacuum and get a finger full of dust, there is a small gap on top of the canister you empty and dust flys out, making the machine all dirty, not to mention I had nose issues the rest of the night from inhaling all the dirt it was throwing into the air.

It also makes a squealing sound occasionally as i use it, and the motor sounds like it won't last long.

Not a good buy!

Our son moved to a new apartment. He had no vacuum so we went to Walmart to buy him something inexpensive. We bought this Bissell Turboforce. We put it together for him and I decided to vacuum our living room rug, just to try it. I totally freaked out. The entire basket was full. I went back and bought one for myself. We vac every week with our $400 Oreck. I am a neurotic housekeeper. I thought my house was clean. I vacuumed each room of the house and ended up with the same overwhelming basket of dirt and pet hair. This is the third time I have vacuumed the house and now it is getting up all sorts of dust and the pet hair is still coming. I think that bagged vacuums must get clogged by the pet hair . This Turboforce costs $300 less than my Oreck and works 90% better. I will never agin correlate the cost of a vacuum to how well it works. I have never been excited by any cleaning apparatus in my 59 years, but this one really cleans, and I can see what it is doing because I can clean out the cup each time. My husband thinks it is funny to see me so interested in the vacuum. If you have pets, you can get your house clean. Just be prepared because when you see what this picks up, you will feel like you have been living in squalor.

This vacuum is GREAT! The vacuum I had was not picking up. Once I used this vacuum it looked as if I had my carpet cleaned. This is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone. It is worth the price.

We bought this for our small business. We planned on using this once per week, however, everyone loves it so much we use it 3-4 times per week. It's amazing to see what gets sucked up out of the carpet! We have brand new carpet, tile, and floor mats. This thing works well on all of our floor surfaces. Our rugs are very heavy duty, so I am not sure if the vacuum cleaner would suck a lighter duty rug up. Our cleaning person loves this vacuum cleaner so much she is going to purchase one for her home. She cleans for a living, so if she likes it, you know it's a good product. We all like how easy it is to remove the canister to dump out the dust/dirt, etc. There is no clouds of dust that we notice when emptying the canister like you hear from other vacuum cleaners (I researched every one that Wal-Mart offers for $100 or less). We like that the filters are washable. The cord is the perfect length to vacuum our entire business including offices without having to unplug and plug into more than one outlet each time. The tools attach well to the unit and they work awesome too! We still can't believe we spent less than $80 on this after sales tax and shipping & handling! Why buy a $400 vacuum when this thing works just as well if not better??? We are extremely pleased with our purchase!

I just purchased this today after my expensive Shark vacuum stopped working and it is a GREAT vacuum. The price is exceptional for the quality of the product. I vacuum regularly and when I brought this home I put it together in less than five minutes and vacuumed my whole house. It picked up so much dirt and dust from just one room that I was amazed! It is light and easy to handle and another great feature is the extra long cord! Rather than having to unplug and plug the vacuum into every room I was able to do three rooms! It is very powerful and I am very happy with it.

I've had this vacuum for over a year now. it was fine for the first two months. After that, it started becoming a real problem. It spits out dust, the hose is constantly getting clogged, along with the filter, The attachments...dont get me started! The rollwe brush attachment never worked quite right. It gets clogged, and is almost impossible to clean, it will just stop while in use and then you have to get it started with sticking your finger in it, which by the way, is sharp and cuts...overall this was a cheap vacuum that needs to be replaced almost every four to six months. We've been stuck with it because of limited means...but enough is enough!
As for pet hair...forget it. we have two cats and a dog and i have to go over a spot about two to four times before MOST of the hair is up...it NEVER GETS ALL THE PET HAIR UP!!!!

Looks great-- but the I received it-- the most important part-- the handle and the flimsy, thin plastic mounting bracket connecting the handle to the body was CHEAP and very WEAK.

It would certainly snap from even mild usage.

Junk!

I returned and purchased a Dirt Devil (about $90) which is VASTLY better made of quality parts and durable for the long haul! For $25 more than the Bissell it's WELL worth it. I love my Dirt Devil!

My Hoover Windtunnel's ($200+)motor burned up (after 4 years) and I searched reviews, and decided on this vacuum. I have always vacuumed every other day, because I do have 3 indoor cats. Needless to say, I am AMAZED!! I could not believe how much dirt and grime came out of my carpet! I had to empty the container just after 2 rooms! I never dreamed a $65 vacuum would be so awesome. Trust me, if you are in the market, you would be throwing your money away on anything more expensive!

For a low price of $65, this vaccum cleaner does a great job. I can't imagine how dirty my carpet was until i bought this vaccum and used it for the first time. we have a 2 bed apartment. the dirt container filled up quickly. it was a mixed feeling. upset because i had been living with a dirty carpet all this time and glad that this vaccum did its job just right and my money did not go to waste. i had to clean the filters and the dirt container after using it. it was an easy process. you can easily wash the filters. overall, this was a great buy and i am very happy so far.
