I bought this product and it worked well the first couple of times and then they motor and the pump went out, I had it repaired and it worked for about 5 minutes. This went on for a year, everytime I used it it broke shortly after beginning. Always the same thing, the repair shop said all's they could think is that Bissell was sending them defective parts. Of course the warranty covered all the repairs but they just did not work.

In the first 12 months, I used the product 3 times. The first time it worked good. The second time it did OK. The third time did not dispense liquid properly and did not suck up the liquid very well. About a month later, I noticed a buldge in the side of the unit. A piece of metal from a pump had broken off. This was 2 weeks after the 1 year warranty. Bissell would not stand behind their product, because it was past the warranty. Also, the on/off switch is in an awkward place and the accessory wand kept falling off. Went out and got a Hoover. It did a better job with the rotating circular brushes.

I purchased this product a long time ago. It has out preformed my expectations! I have used it multiple times, taken it to my sister who has a child to clean up after, my best friends who has a cat, my mothers who has high traffic in her house, and my house with high traffic and a dog. I love it! It is very easy to take apart, attachments are easy to use, and it cleans my carpet so well! I would deffinately reccomend this product to anyone!

I bought this a year ago and used it about 6-8 times the first 3 or 4 times was great. Then had to replace the whole water canister because the bladder leaked. Then had to replace solution despenser, have to pull it apart and clean it the brush and all everytime I use it. Today I pulled it out to use it and it does not spray at all, except the occasional drip and all the water running out the bottom to soak one big puddle on my floor! I understand it wasn't too expensive, but I would have expected it to last more than 6-8 times! Especially after putting $80.00 in new parts! Don't waste your money. Paid $159.97 + $80.00 in parts +over $20.00 S/H parts... not a very good value.

I bought this steam cleaner two years ago, a year ago the motor broke down. I see there are other people who have had the same problem. It seems a shame that it ended up in the landfill after only 6 or less uses. Just beware of this one, it looks pretty, cleans carpet VERY well, but after about 6 uses, it's trash. Buyer Beware.

I bought this product because it was as close as possible to a very good inexpensive Bissell cleaner that I had often borrowed. I cleaned three rooms of carpeting and it did an excellent job, then put it away. Got it out a couple of months later to shampoo the rugs from my car and do the inside. Got everything out and the belt broke. I know that isn't serious but my sister bought one too and is having problems making it spray. For the amount of money, these things should just last longer.

I am completely dissapointed in this product and Bissell carpet cleaners in general. This is the 3rd Bissell steam cleaner I have owned in about 8 years. They all started off good but lost suction and werent worth a hoot within 6 months of owning. I am completely done with the Bissell brand. Have a friend that owns a Hoover Silver that has been very happy. In need of a new steam cleaner and I will be purchasing the HOOVER!

I bought this because I live in a townhouse that was not cleaned well before I moved in. This cleaner pulled so much nasty stuff from the carpet it was amazing (and gross!). I also have two small children who are constantly spilling, and this thing sucks most everything up even if it's been there a couple days. It doesn't work well on red spills but nothing does so that isn't the fault of the cleaner. The only problem I have is the attachment hose doesn't like to stay in its holder, and it's not exactly beautiful, but those are extremely minimal issues compared to how great my carpet looks now!

I have never written a review about any product I have purchased before due to lack of time, however I promised I would sit down and review this product because of the reviews I read was the main base of the purchase of this steamer. I shopped around for about 2 weeks and I am glad with my decision. This bissell steamer is the best! It removed all the stains on my carpet which had not been clothes for 18 months, my daughter is almost two and the carpet was a mess filled with stains we almost considered replacing it believing it could not be cleaned. It does take some time but its worth it. We even had a mildew stain from water spilled from a humidifier and it washed off with the steamer. My carpet looks brand new as if it was installed yesterday and we still have not used the rinse option. I really do recommend it to everyone out there. Keep in mind it does take awhile however its worth it.

The product is very light & easy to push & pull. It cleans well& gets all the dirt up from deep in the carpet. It does an excellent job of removing the water from the carpet, allowing for a short dry time. The unit carries from room to room easily. The water tray is slightly difficult to clean because of the small empty holes & the bladder, but it does come clean with enough rinsing.

I bought the Bissel Lightweight Cleaner for $80 and hated it. It didn't clean the carpets at all! I returned it and bought this one. I cleaned the same area I did with the other cleaner and this one got up more dirt!! I have no stains on my carpet now. It has a tool attachment that is easy to use and really works great!! I love this product and would strongly urge you to buy it. It heats the water and has moving brushes! It also has one tank for dirty water and the clean water! In the tank is a bag that you fill up (and it is alot, I did my decent size living room with 1 fill up) and the dirty water gets put in the same tank just on the outside of the bag with the clean water. To rent steamers they are about $40-$50 and you have to return them same day and who knows whose carpet they have been on. After about 3 uses you will have it paid for!!!!

Of all the rug shampooer's I have owned in almost my 60 years on this planet I have never and I do mean never had such a completely wonderful machine to use. It's a joy to operate. I can't tell you exactly "how" it does what it does but they finally figured out a way to make shampooing your carpets so easy and effective. I used to have to make several trips to empty the dirty water way before the clean water was gone. With this machine when the clean water is gone it's time to empty the inner bladder of dirty water. It cleans so good my carpets are totally a different color like they were when they were new. With my old cleaner my ears would ring for hours after using it because it was so loud. This machine is so quite I can hear my cell phone ring in the other room. I can't say enough about this carpet shampooer. I love it so much and I haven't even used the attachments yet. I can't wait! I use it everyday because I have a 5 month old black lab puppy. Need I say more!

This was bought in April 09 it's now july 09,and now doesn't spray from the floor or tool. called bissell and went over the cleaner with them said i need to take it to a repair shop. nearest place to take it to is Warren P.A Which is 1hr. and 40 minutes away. This didn't last long at all before spray part stopped working.

only real thing good about this item is the brushes. by the second use, it had lost most of the suction and the carpets were sopping wet. the bladder is terrible. it doesnt stay placed and puts dirty water back on the carpet. it pushes the dog hair instead of removing it with the water. the detergent container quit halfway through the second cleaning. no longer mixing the cleaner and the water. uses way too much cleaner even on lower setting. have to change th water far too many times. admitted we have a large carpet area living room, hall and 5 bedrooms. replacing parts , replacing parts, replacing parts. guess where this one is going?..out to the garbage. guess i will get the old hoover fixed, that one worked for 7 years without a problem. just didnt want to take it to the shop with its age, but guess i will. please think about spending a little more and getting a much better product. this little cheap is not cheap in the long or short run.

my husband bought this one for me for mothers day in may. i hd never had one before and the vacum i use is a dyson. when i put the soap in the little disenser, it all leaked out on the kitchen floor. i almost fell, and being pregnant, thats not a good idea! i called the company and they sent me a new thing you twist on the top. didnt really help, it still leaks so i just took it out wihen i wasnt using it. i ran it a few times, was okay with it, and then we decided to do our cars with it. it worked good on the first car, then i did our truck, and the belt broke in the middle of doing it. he had to run to walmart and get another one (this was the end of june/beginning of july. he had to take it all apart just to get the belt on-thank god he is a mechanic and knew had to do that. i wouldnt have been able to. i finished the truck and didnt bother with the last car and put it away. i just took it out tonight becuase my 2 year old got watermelon juice on the carpet and the belt was broken AGAIN! how does this happen when i didnt even use it?!! i had a bissell vacum before i bought the dyson and it only lasted 6 months and that was before we had any children! i wouldnt buy this vacum again, and tomorrow i am taking it back to get a beltless hoover-thats the way to go! BELTLESS!!!! thank God i saved the receipt!

I ordered this model for my mother. I had the chance to put it together for her. Easy as usual right out of the box. I purchased a cheaper model for myself, but it was a discontinued model. It is so easy to use. This was a little larger model with extra features. I'm sure she's going to love the ease of use, and the hose with upholstery/stair attachment will come in handy. When it comes to carpet/upholstery cleaning I have never purchased anything, but Bissell. I also have a Little Green Machine. Great for touch ups in the house, upholstery, and in my van. I'm sure my mother will love this machine, because it will be easy for her to push, and handle. She will also love the job this machine will do as far as cleaning. I haven't found a carpet cleaner as good. Bissell has made so many improvements in their carpet cleaners. They are much quieter, seem to have more suction than before, and pick up most of the water they put down meaning carpets dry in no time. I highly recommend any Bissell product!
