We bought this bed for our grandson who moved back home with my daughter...so he uses it every night. (he is almost 3) The assembly was pretty simple, the drawers work great! Looks like expensive wood, holds lots of pj's, clothes, toys etc. No need to buy a box spring which saved money. Price is right...great product, and he loves it! Oh, and it is lower to the floor than most beds, so he won't get hurt if he falls out.

We purchased this bed for our 7 year old granddaughter who spends the weekends with us. This is a very nice looking bed and sturdy. We purchased the headboard to go along with it. Packaging was impressive in each box (two boxes total - one for the headboard and one for the bed) without a scratch on anything. Typically with a piece of furniture at this price point the drawers would be flimsy but not on this bed. At first they seemed that way but I adjusted the depth of the rails (which was easy to do since you insert them yourself) and they are very secure.
Instructions were easy to follow on both pieces. I put the entire bed together in about 3 hours.
Very good value for the money. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this South Shore Prairie Mates Bed, for my 13 yr. old daughter. She loves it.
My grandson age 19 assembled it. It takes a while especially the 3 draws to assembled to the bed side. He did a great job takes patients because of alot of hardware and parts to assemble.
The bed was package very well but when I open the box a small wood piece was broken off.
It could be glued but it was left alone. It was ok. All and all this beauty of a bed nice and the price is right and it is sturdy. It a twin size and doesn't take up much room. Very happy with the purchase. The color pine is pretty too. I painted my daughter room a light purple and the bed makes the room looks so nice. I also bought a twin size mattress to go on the bed which fits perfect.

This is a nice bed for the price. We had it shipped to store and when we picked it up the box had some damage but all the pieces and the finish were just fine. It went together well. The instructions are pictures only and there were a few steps that didn't seem very clear but all went well and the structure is solid.

This is a cute bed but one of the main pieces came broken and my husband ended up buying a piece of wood and cutting it to fit the bed because I did not have time to return the whole bed because I am moving in a new house and my son would not have a bed. A bit disappointed with this product.

Bed looks great once together with the headboard. I got this for my 4 year old for his birthday and he loves it. I was a little disappointed that the front of one of the drawers was dented a little and we were missing a few screws for the drawers. But I'm sure the drawers will receive more dents with having a 4 yr. old. For the price this is a great product.

Bought this for my 13 year old son, he had a futon and hated it. So we went with this. Took about 2 and a half hours, and surprisngly the drawers were the hardest part to put together. Is really solid and have no concerns at all about it.
Be aware though the box it comes in is about 7' long and does weight quite a bit.

The materials are poor. I purchased a bed like this in 2003 from Big Lots (for less money) & when I was done putting it together, I had a good piece of furniture. This is poor quality.

I'm not saying this bed is the best bed ever. But considering the price, it's a lot of bed for the money. The bed was shipped with no problems. None of the wood was scratched or broken, and it was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. The only problem we had was the drawer handles were bent and one had not been machined properly. But one quick call to the manufacturer's extremely polite, understanding and excellent English-speaking customer service department (which is in Canada by the way), and my new handles arrived within days. My daughter loves having her brand-new bed, and I love that I didn't have to pay an amount out of my budget in order to get it for her.

the directions are very hard to understand. Thought this would be a great fix for a small bedroom. ended up being a huge hassle. Hard to put together, directions not very clear. Had to end up buying brackets to get it together properly. Drawers fell apart. Very pretty wood though.

We bought this bed for our two year old moving out of his toddler bed into a "big boy bed". He loves it. It is the perfect height for him to still climb into on his own and there is plenty of room for growing. I love the storage for P.J.s, and other clothes. The color of the wood is true to the picture and it matches other items in his room.
The major "downer" for this purchase was the set-up. Everything was labelled fairly well, but many of the holes were not aligned, so we had to drill new holes and fill the existing with wood glue. At some points I was holding a screw over from the side trying to line it up, while my husband tried to screw it down.
Great product for the money, but be prepared for a headache with set up.

didnt take very long to put together. drawers are big with lots of room. more room in drawers than i expected. twin mattress doesnt fit snug but thats ok. no problems with this item at all. delivered to the store and was packaged very well.

Several of the pieces of particle board were cracked when my husband took them out of the box to assemble. This is frustrating since the box it came it was so large and would be very difficult to return. Thankfully it is not something that we plan to keep for a long time and bought it due to space saving in a shared room.
