This stroller is great. We have 5 kids so we have been through our share of strollers. I did a lot of research before we bought it, so I knew what we were getting, but I was still thrilled with all the extras. Before we received it I searched everywhere for a weather shield and was concerned that I couldn't find one. I discovered that it was already built in the stroller and I just had to zip it open. My 2 month old and 3 year old kids both seem very comfortable. It feels really sturdy and well made. After my 5th baby I needed something to get me out of the house without being too hard to push up a hill. This is perfect for that. After taking 20 minutes to pack kids into a stroller you don't want them hating it 10 minutes later. My kids seem to love it. 300+ dollars seemed pretty steep, but I know this will last us a very long time. Oh, and the swivel wheel rocks!

Great stroller!, 09/27/2009

I've had this stroller for a couple of weeks now and love it! It rides so smoothly, looks very sturdy and is very easy to push/manuever. The only thing I don't like is the way it folds up. The handle folds down and the stroller doesn't lock into a folded position, so it's a little hard to load into a vehicle. Overall, it's a great stroller, and I can't wait to use it more!

Pros: Light weight, sturdy, padded seats, easy to run with, great breaking system, kids luv it.
Cons: Both tires went flat due to stickers; butt easy fix with Slime flat fix product.
Minor note. Initially purchased red model and the seat were black so they got hot. Changed to green/blue model to lessen heat.

Good value, 09/08/2009

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 4 out of 5

We are pleased with our twin jogger. It is so much easier to push than our Maclaren double stroller - that lives in the trunk of our car now. Only real peeve is that the kids lean so far back in it and they prefer to sit up a bit more - the mechanism to adjust the seatbacks it a bit flimsy. But good canopy and good storage basket and I love the locking/unlocking wheel - makes it a very flexible stroller.

I can push this with one finger! Great even with two kids two and a half years apart. It's easier than my single jogger!

The sun canopy is a bit small and I wish it had a parent tray. The weather shield is cool!

This thing cruises!

Very Helpful, 07/17/2009

I love my stroller. I have a 3 1/2 yr old who is very tall and a 9 month old and this stroller is working great for us. I like the cover on this stroller is pretty big, so I think it helps with sun coverage. I haven't had to use the rain shield yet but I love that it is built in, no fumbling for it just unzip and pull it down. The parent bag could definetly be bigger. It holds a few things. I put sunscreen, camera, hand disinfectant, cell phone, keys, etc. in it. Stuff you need to have easy to reach! The bottom compartments isn't very big either- but that is the case for all the jogging strollers I've seen. It will hold a few towels, clothes, small bag, etc. But be careful that it doesn't fall out! I didn't give it a great durability rating because this is my 2nd one. My first one broke. I was putting it together on my hardwood floor, my son got in and accidentally pushed it over backwards- it fell hit my floor and the handle broke off! I returned it re-bought it because I did really like it. And didn't want the cheaper ones and didn't want to spend a lot more either to get a BOB stroller. It's a beautiful easy to use stroller. It's a lifesaver with two kids and all the gear that they require. I use it at beaches with boardwalks or long walks to get to the sand (doesn't push well on loose sand) or amusement parks, zoos, etc. If you live on a dirt road you NEED a jogging stroller. Which is my case.

I got this stroller for my children, so that they could travel in comfort. I was so excited when I saw the box on my porch. I didn't have the patience to wait for my husband to put it together. To my surprise, it took a few minutes and was awsome!! I love that the seats can recline or sit up seperately. The wind shield (concealed in the hood) was an extra surprise. I took my 1 and 3 yr. old for a cruse first thing, they loved it. It was easy to manuever. For the price, they could have included the bug sheild. There are a few minor changes that I would make, the cup holder for the parents, I wish it were a solid piece like the single stroller. Although the basket underneathe is large, the fabric doesn't seem all that durable. Overall, I am satisfied with it and would recommend it.

this stroller is awesome! It is perfect for my 3 1/2 year old and 7month old. It folds easily and the back wheels pop on and off easily so it can fit in the trunk of our car. It is great for running, I hardly feel like I am pushing them when I run. It is great. My only complaint is the canopy has a little space at the top that doesn't totally cover. But I love that it can move around to block the sun if it's shining directly on them. overall I love it and would definatley buy again! Also the rain cover is great too! Me and my husband were out running and it started pouring the kids stayed completely dry. It zips right out of the canopy, very convienient.

Just got my stroller today, and first of all was amazed at the low cost of shipping ( 2.97) and how fast it got here!! Took it out of teh box, and had it put together by myself (well, really, with the help of my 3 yr old) in 5 minutes! all you have to do is pop on the wheels! I also was surprised to find the rain/weather sheild inside of the sun canopy!! The stroller already comes with it so you dont have to buy one, and you can't lose it! I have been shopping for a double jogging stroller for a long long time, and wanted one with a swivel wheel that could be locked, so I could run with it as well as use it other places. We took it out today for a run, adn it was awesome!! I locked the front wheel, and it worked great!! I have a 3 yr old daughter who fits great on her side and a 7 wk old son, and I just added his head support that we bought for the carseat, and he fit perfect and slept hte whole time. It was so comfortable for my daughter that she even fell asleep!! After shopping for so long, I am so happy with this stroller; it was a great price, both kids fit great, and i can run with it!! I would highly highly suggest this stroller to anyone in the market for a double jogger!

Great jogger for the price!, 05/13/2009
By Buellersmom, Naperville, IL
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

Love this jogger! I have a 4 1/2 year old and an 8 month old and I am able to run with them both. I tried many other joggers and found this one to be the best - especially for the price. I didn't want to invest too much in a jogger since my oldest would probably out-grow it within a year. The jogger is extremely smooth and turns on a dime! I needed to have a swivel front wheel for a jogger since the weight between my two kids is so different. The only complaint I have about the jogger is the under storage basket - it's pretty flimsy, so consider getting a mesh bag to go in the compartment. Overall, if that is the only complaint, then a great buy!

Review 13 for Schwinn - Free Wheeler AL Double Jogging Stroller, Red

LOVE IT, 05/11/2009
By OneBlessedWoman, VA
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

I have a 3 1/2 yr old & an 8 month old. After my last was born, I began searching for a double jogging stroller. I totally had my heart set on the Baby Jogger Mini Duplex but just couldn't bring myself to cough up that much money for a stroller.
Anyway, it took me 6-1/2 months to finally decided. I AM SO GLAD that I went with this one. It was still a little pricier than I wanted but my birthday was around the same time, so I just had people throw in on it. It's super easy to fold & unfold. It turns on a dime, with one hand (just fingers). The wheel swivels but you can lock it if you want. It's got the nice bike tires that can "off road". It fits through every door that I have tried. (Even when I didn't think that I would). It has a larger canopy than most of the others. Plus there is a rain/bug screen that unzips from the inside of the canopy. The seats have a nice divider so that the kids aren't leaning into each other. And the handle-bar is adjustable. I asked my son if he loved it & he said yes. His only complaint is that the padding for the seat is a little thin & so he feels the steel bar behind his head. -But he said that he would still rather ride in that one than our old one (which was just a single). I folded up a receiving blanket to put under his head & it fixed the problem. He climbs in & out with out it tipping.
I don't know. I just stinking love it. I am so glad that I finally decided on it. For the price, this was what I wanted. These two items AREN’T on my complaint list, I am just sharing because it may matter to you.... The storage area can come on & off with velcro. It's made from the same material as the canopy that nylon blend stuff (?) It holds my diaper bag that is a pretty good size, but I think that some other review somewhere said that it was too small or frayed up. Well, if you fill it too full, it probably would drag the ground & fray. I think it has a decent amount of storage. I mean good Lord, it is carrying two kids & you still want it to fit through a door way!!! The handle bars are pretty strong. Bring a recycle/canvas bag & hang it from the handle bars for extra storage. -But I still think that it's a good amount of space.
And my only other thing is only directed to people that have just begun their search. Most of the joggers don't have cup holders/parent tray's yada yada. This has some bag (that actually works to hold maybe a bottle/can drink, keys, phone, smokes, camera (whatev...) -But no matter what jogger you get, you will probably have to buy the adjustable cup holders separate. -Sold on line or in stores. etc. So just prepare yourself. Anyway, I love it. I am most thrilled. Oh & this was neat too... the manual says that we can buy a kit & hook this up to a bike. That was pretty exciting. Anyway, if you're wondering how active I am... well, I got this to power walk with & to shop with. -But I have jogged about 50 feet with it & it seemed just fine! If you require a hand brake (I don't) it doesn't have one. I could only imagine that this feature is beneficial to heavy joggers going down hill or something... I don't need it! -Did I tell you that I LOVE THIS STROLLER!

Love This Jogger, 05/06/2009
By Telluwhatithink, SLC, UT
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

I love this!!! It has been wonderful!

Favorite Things: Adjustable handle for my 6'5 husband (this is awesome!), ease of pushing with swivel, weather guard which kids think is really fun, fits my 8 month old and off the charts tall 3 yr old.

Could Be Better: Sun shade coverage (ok but could be better), and way it folds up on to handle seems like it makes it prone to handle damage.

Overall: For sure worth the money. Looked at the Bob (lots more $$$) too but actually think this one fits my tall 3 yr. old better which was really key to us.

Review 15 for Schwinn - Free Wheeler AL Double Jogging Stroller, Red

Great stroller, 04/27/2009
By VTMomTo3, Vermont
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

I researched a lot of strollers both before and since our twins were born, and finally settled on this stroller, because of the features and the cost. I wanted a double jogger, with a swivel front wheel and didn't want to spend more than $300. This stroller fits the bill and I have been super happy with it. It folds down small enough (with all three wheels still attached) to fit in the back of our Honda Civic!!! My 11 month old twins are happy riding in it. The sun canopy is large and includes a built in rain shield. Folding it up is easy and the aluminum frame makes it lighter than our cumbersome Graco DuoGlider Double stroller. I can steer it with one hand, the tires are great and the swivel wheel is absolutly a must with a larger stroller. I borrowed my SIL's Bob Duallie stroller, and this Schwinn stroller is not only more compact and easier to handle, but it is $250 cheaper.

The only down sides I see are that it doesn't have a hand brake, which I would have loved to have seen. The "parking brake" works well, but is a little hard to unlock. The upper frame on the seats is a little low, and the babies heads are already just below the frame. I can anticipate needing to get a pillow or something to cushion their heads once they are a little older.

We have used the stroller in town, in malls, across our fields and on our dirt road and have been so pleased with the performance of the stroller. And the price can't be beat.

Great stroller - I highly recommend it.

Disapointing features - seat back, 04/23/2009
By BusyMomAndPT, Iowa
Overall Rating: 2 out of 5 2 out of 5

This stroller has many good features for the price. It pushes nicely/smooth, even with bigger kids in it (3year old). My 6 year old even sat on the front foot rest for a short ride and it pushed nicely. The swivel wheel is great. Comfortable handle. Comes with padded seats. Mesh behind the seat back to decrease wind resistance. Now for the disappointing parts...the big one: the seat back is way too short. I have a petite just-turned 3 year-old and the back of her head hits the top frame of the seat back. (she is 37 inches tall) It appears very uncomfortable. I sat my 6 year old in it just to see how he looked...forget it - there's no way he would be able to sit in here even for a short distance. The seat depth is too long. My 3 year old's knees didn't reach the edge, so her legs/feet stick out. The straps aren't padded and are extremely difficult to adjust. I had to cross the straps for my 6 month old. The basket underneath couldn't hold even the smallest diaper bag and even if you tried, it looks like the storage basket would break (very cheap material). The sunshade has a built-in weather shield, and it ratchets to the front to shade sun in front. Nice idea but it doesn't seem to work well - I don't know if it's because of the extra plastic material stored inside, but the shade won't stay fully opened, and it doesn't exactly stay at the angle you hope for.

I read all the reviews before I purchased this stroller. Some others had these same complaints, but I ignored them. In my opinion, either buy a lower end stroller to save money, or spend more for great features. It's frustrating to spend this much and not be satisfied. I have exchanged mine and upgraded to a dreamer design manhattan ditto deluxe.

Stroller is so easy to put together. My husband and I had it done in 10 mins. Features are nice but I have two issues; 1. Wish there was a better cup holder 2. the straps where easier to adjust ... The weather shield is great and folds down/up easy, great storage under and behind seats. TOTALLY easy to set up takes 3 seconds!!!! This is great for walking and does fit through doors nicely. I am tall and the handle adjust perfectly for my height. Turns on a dime. We have twin daughters that are 6 months old that will be calling this stroller home for a long time.

This is a GREAT stroller offered at a GREAT price through Wal-Mart. We researched it at several different stores and this is the best price by far. Although it may seem pricey for a stroller, it is 100% worth it. Our two and a half year old and six month old both love it. With the five point harness in both seats it provides extra safety. The storage underneath is rather large and easily accessible. Assembly was not difficult at all.

A Good Choice, 04/14/2009
By coliecolie, MN
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

I purchased this stroller after much research. We own a lightweight umbrella-style double stroller that works well for a quick trip to the doctor or shopping, but it was getting a bit cramped for our kids, and we wanted something that they could ride comfortably in if we went for a walk. We didn't want to spend an arm and a leg, so we considered the InStep model, a BabyTrend model sold by Babies R Us, and this one, all of which run under $300. The Schwinn has some fabulous features, such as an adjustable handle (my husband really appreciates this) and a great sun shade. The locking swivel wheel is also very handy when you wish to jog. The seats do recline quite a bit, even in the upright position, but this doesn't seem to bother my boys, as long as we're moving. The item did arrive with a broken part, but customer service was very friendly and helpful, and I had a replacement part shipped to me within a few days. Some reviewers mentioned that their children were too tall for the stroller, but I find that it's quite roomy under the canopy, and this wouldn't be a concern. The only disappointment is the cup holder, which is canvas and rather flimsy. But, this can easily be overlooked when we are so very pleased with the rest of the stroller. I highly recommend it, especially if you are looking to decide between the InStep and the Schwinn - it's worth the extra money in my opinion.
