Harder than expected,

I had been sleeping on a foam mattress from IKEA with a two inch memory foam topper and LOVED the combination. When I was looking for a mattress for my new winter home, I came across this mattress and thought it would be the perfect mattress...a whole FOUR inches of memory foam. Unfortunately the product didn't live up to my expectations. It was very firm and my body barely made a dent in the memory foam. Maybe it was because the memory foam was 4 inches thick or maybe I just don't weigh enough, but if you are looking for a soft memory foam. Then this is NOT the mattress for you. I ended up buying a 2.5 inch memory foam topper from target and putting it on top of the mattress. This solved the firmness issue and now I have what I thought this mattress was going to feel like. Otherwise, a good, well made product at a reasonable price.

It does not have enough support for me. I developed lower back pain 1 wk after sleeping on it, just like on previous soft mattresses. I live alone and have no way to return it to the store. I just turned the mattress upside down and slept on the hard side. It has been two weeks and my back pain is gone. The shape is not as good as on the picture, none of the corners is sharp and the whole thing looks like an old one. The chemical smell is not that pleasant either, but getting lighter now. I cannot afford a better mattress. The bottom line is this one gave me a bed to sleep on. It is not that heavy either so I can deal with it all by myself (like turn it upside down). I would suggest anybody try it before decide to buy.

Mattress arrived quickly (I paid for next day) by UPS. Didn't take very long to air out (~8 hours). Very comfortable, not really absorbant like some of the more expensive mattresses, but I sleep on my side and find it very comfortable. Can get a little warm, but it hasn't been a problems.

I had already purchased one of these beds in a king size and loved it, so I got a full-size for my mother who loves it also. However, while my bed expanded to its full size in a couple of days hers did not. In fact, we had to cut the permanent cover off the bed in order to get it to expand to it's full 7" (not 8" as advertised) thickness and that took another 4 days. Perhaps they're using another manufacturer now? In any case, the layer that matters is the same thickness as mine (3") so we're happy! I recommend this bed to many of my patients. I have chronic back problems and since getting this bed, my back is great 99% of the time. Love, love LOVE this bed!

I was looking for a mattress that does not tend to bow in the middle, as I sleep in the middle of the bed. I found the memory foam mattress is extremely comfortable and does not bow anywhere. I have had shoulder and back aches for a couple of years and now my shoulders and back don't ache when I get up in the morning. I am definitely happy that I made this purchase and I didn't experience the foam smell that others have said they have.

When I received this mattress I was kinda disappointed. It wasnt as deep as I thought it was. it said it was 8". looks for like 4. The mattress is very comfortable. I've had back problems in the past before and this mattress is great and get a wonderful nights sleep. i was thinking about getting another mattress to put on top but after having this for a couple weeks now dont think ill need it. great price and value!!!

My back has hurt nearly every night of my life for the last 25 years. I have tried every kind of mattress one could think of, expensive included. Also, the springs are hard on hip bones no matter how "padded" your pillowtop is! My expensive mattress started sagging a few weeks after we purchased it, and no I am no heavy. All of my friends have the same complaints of the mattresses they have purchased. Thank you Wal*Mart for providing an AFFORDABLE and comfortable mattress. I have not had a backache since we purchased this memory foam mattress.

This has been a great bed. It took 2 months for it to be 100%. I'm a restless sleeper, but my honest opinion, after I rolled on in it for a while; it expanded to where it needed to be. You sink in after you get warm, and it holds heat quite well. I've never owned a mattress this comfortable, I like firmer beds, and its a little more firm then the giant name brands, but they were all too soft for me. This one is perfect, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. Note like any new bed you're going to have to give it time to get acquainted, and memory foam I've found is an acquired sleep, you'll be amazed how well you'll feel in 2 weeks.

This matress is really compfortable and at such good price, much cheaper and portable than a heavy regular matress. I've been recommending it to all of my friends.
The best thing for a city girl like me is that I can literally just packe it up and move it myself since it weights about 40 pounds, plus walmart only charged around $18 for shipping door to door which is even better!

I baught this product because i wanted a big bed (I baught the Cal. King) but I couldnt afford the usual huge price tag for that kind of size. I was plesantly surprised with how good this mattress really is. I dont have a bed frame yet in my new apartment so the mattress is even just on the floor and I have slept so well on it. I am a terrible sleeper and always toss and turn until i finally just get up and stay up by 3 am. I wake up so refreshed now. The foam material just forms right to your body and you dont even have to move in it. whatever position you like the bed conforms to. it is perfect. i sleep all night like a dream and even my kitty kitty sleeps all night right next to me. worth the buy definitely.

This is the best mattress we've slept on in years. The only bad thing is the corners took longer to de-compress then the rest of the mattress, not really a big deal though. As soon as my head hits the pillow, I'm asleep until the next day. No tossing and turning like on my last spring mattress. Well worth the money. Kinda wish I had purchased the 12" one, but this one is fine.

I bought this bed because I was moving, and needed something new. I always wanted to try a memory foam mattress.....and this was the best value around. I bought this item site-to-store to save on shipping. The mattress needs to set out for a day or two to regain full form....after that though it is wonderful! I have never slept as well as I do now. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing....if I had the money I may have considered the 12" mattress, however the 8" is plenty enough for me. This is easily one of the best purchases I have made in the past few years!

This mattress is awesome. I have severe back problems, including spinal stenosis, therefore finding a comfortable sleeping position without pain has been a real challenge until now. I've only had this mattress for about a month, and I'm very happy with it so far. Once I took it out of the box, it expanded in a few hours. I didn't notice any smell at all, but then again I did put an allergy-reducing cover on it. The mattress gives a bit, and you feel like you're sinking into it, but it stays VERY firm. Which is what I want, but be forewarned, this is not the mattress for fluffy, soft bed-lovers. I feel like this is a great alternative for those of us who can't afford one of those name-brand sleep systems.
