10,000 BTU Haier Window Air Conditioner

I recently bought this Haier Air conditioner because my air conditioner went out and with Arkansas heat you need an air conditioner. I have went through 3 air conditioners in one room. None of the 3 could ever stand up to this one. During the day I set it at 74 degrees and it stays cool, at night I turn it down to 68. If the a/c is off, it is within a matter of minutes when you turn it on before the room temp starts to get cool. I have never had a better a/c before I absolutely love it. I would highly recommend this product to anyone!

we bought this air conditioner last month,...about 3 weeks after we had it running,...it started to make a really loud noise and spitting water out of the vents. There is no where for the water to drain out of the unit so once it gets too much water in the base, it freezes up and blows the built up water out into the room that you're trying to cool off. so if you don't mind having to shut it off for a whole day or two,..or three, until the water evaporates,...go ahead and buy it. It works good, once it dries up,..lol. I would not buy this product again

This ac is so loud after I turned it on my roommate said, "Do we live in a factory?" It is also too weak, despite the power rating, to cool my ~500 sq. ft. apt. We had to return it, as it was too loud to have on at night, the only time we had planned to use it.

We just recieved this unit and are extremely impressed!! It has cooled our room, 450 square foot or so, by 5 degrees in 10 minutes. It is no louder than the box fan we have. I plan on buying another one to put in my daughter's room. It was easy to install and just plugs into the wall. I am very satisfied.

I have a small window and this was one of the only a.c. units above 5,000 BTUs that was small enough to fit. It puts out a good deal of cool air. The only drawback I can come up with is that it's a little loud.

It took me about three hours to install this thing. Woohoo. I turned it on (after waiting 24 hours) and 2 hours in it started spitting water out of the fan. After tinkering with it I found it had to be installed at a 7-10% angle because the unit lacks a drain spout at the bottom the condenser pan. So when it auto defrosts the angle has to be slightly higher so it drains out the back instead of towards the fan at the front. The manual said 5%. It does an ok job but I think it's meant for a 200 square foot room or less. It just doesn't cool off our family room. Oh yeah, it's super loud too but most of the noise is outside if you have the window properly sealed. I haven't decided whether it's staying or not I am worried about mold/mildew inside the machine after a long period of time. They should have made a drain plug in back, like other window ac's have.

This airconditioner works very well. We have a 1800+ square foot home. We run two smaller AC's in the large bedrooms and then this new one throughout the common areas of the house. It's a wee bit louder than I had hoped but it is cooling nicely and we are pleased with the purchase.

The unit cools well. It shakes and rattles. It fills up with water, then the fan hits the water.
We had to modify the installation so the water comes out. They have no way for the water to exit without coming over the back of the coils. They say do not drill holes.
Buy the one for $268 it has an electronic air cleaner.

this air conditioner is a little loud would not want to have in a bedroom. But cools great.
