In addition to detailed maps, the nuvi 350 provides automatic routing, turn-by-turn voice directions, an MP3 player, a JPEG picture viewer, a world travel clock, a currency converter and more. Please Note: A windshield mount is included with this GPS unit. Some states regulate use of the windshield mount. Please check with your state laws to ensure you are compliant. In states that prohibit use of the windshield mount, a dashboard mount (also included) may be required to use this GPS unit.

Had it for a couple of weeks. Very precise with times and directions. However, a lot of streets no on the gps that are actually being drivenon. You hear the garmin telling "Please drive the highlighted route". I am happy to have it, though I think that some of the maps needs to be updated. Has a lot of nice features like phone numbers for businesses near you. Overall I give this a good rating. If the maps were up to date and accurate, I would have given it a great rating.

This was the perfect gift for my wife on our anniversary. She now able to navigate to where she is going without getting lost or having to call me. The operation is easy and the features are just right. I had to buy a different kind of mount for it, however, but that was inexpensive and easy to use.

We had a rental car with GPS and thought it was very helpful, and easy to use. Our friend bought the Garmin Nuvi 350 and loved it, so we thought we would do the same thing. Didn't realize how much they differ. I wish we had shopped a little more.
This Garmin has an easy to read screen, the voice is easy to understand, I like that they tell you to "turn left on ABC Street", rather than just say "turn in 200 yds" because I'm not a good judge of distance.
To me this device is hard to use because the menu options are not clear and it didn't come with a good user manual. Once I get all this figured out I will probably think it's a great GPS.

This product is great. I just wish it would be more like a "TIVO" and remember the way you go most offten. It sometimes tells you to go out the way to get to places.
I turn the prodcut on almost every day...not necessarily programing it to go anywhere...just looking at the map as you go down the road.
But overall I am satisfied with my purchase. Haven't had the oppotunity to take it on a trip yet...but will at Christmas.

I have not yet gotten to use it in the bigger cities, but have played with it just around in familiar grounds. I Have found that it does not always know if streets have been blocked off, I have also found that not all communities locations are in it; ex. our local school was not in it. I believe it is small town things are not always programed. But if one has the address still does well. I like the recalculating, if you get off the beaten path. I think it will be very helpful for on my trips. I also know there are some options I need to learn and will also be helpful. It is very easy to use. I recommend these for anyone one traveling even in your area of the world. I look to also using if for my kids' events in different towns.

Generally good directions, but, if there is a need to detour from the GPS' determined route, it continually "recalculates" and this can get annoying. I used it this past weekend in Pittsburgh, PA, and found that, on a few occasions, it would direct me onto one of that city's "Busways" - and that would mean a major traffic ticket, therefore, that data NEEDS to be included in any map updates...and soon. Returning home to New York, the directions coming out of the Holland Tunnel towards the Williamsburgh Bridge were perfect. Since lower Manhattan is extremely confusing, having this unit to guide me was extremely helpful.

This product is an unbeatable value for a handheld gps unit. Getting this unit for 200 less than msrp with all of its features is a steal. THIS UNIT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED BY GARMIN, so I contacted them prior to purchasing it. The sales associate assured me that a buyer will be able to continue to purchase and upload new maps for this unit for the forseable future. I was sold, and you should get one while these last.

I shopped and researched consumer reports and decided on this model. It's amazing how easy it is to use. Just plug and go. You don't really need the instructions. I travel by car on vacation and always seemed to get lost so I look forward to taking it on my next trip!! I even use it in town just to see its acurracy and it is spot on! It prompts you in enough time to make lane changes and then prompts you just before you need to make your turn. Great product, would buy it again if I needed another.

Great GPS so far. Updating it though the Garmin website, best thing to do by the way. It takes some time but you get updated maps and software.
Just wish that Wal-Mart would have a notice saying that this product has been Discontinued by Garmin and that support for it if any is needed will be very limited. Wish I had known that but owell. Still a good system from what I have used it for.

This is a very user friendly GPS. The size of the screen is not large, but it's big enough. We like to use the top-down view of the map so we can see where we are going. Street names are clearly marked in close-up mode. The only negative is that the computerized voice is not always easy or clear to understand; it needs work.

I've borrowed Garmin Nuvi devices from friends and used them in rental cars over the last few years, so I was not surprised that this was good. However, what REALLY pleased me was when I called Garmin customer service and got a real person -- at the switchboard -- in the U.S.! And they transferred me to a real person -- in the U.S.! Sold! And I'll be buying more.
