my wife and i looked around and this works fine. don't waste your money on an expensive rowing machines. it folds up and takes about the same space as a large standup vacuum cleaner, but a little wider.

I have used rowing machines before, but none so well thought out in design and compact. I have been using it each day since I received it, and will be adding minutes to my workout, plus increasing the intensity. Set up was VERY easy, and I had no parts left over. LOL I totally love the BodyTrac Rowing machine.

The foot support was missing. I called the customer service number and reached a customer service rep that was so rude I ended up using an email to get the parts I was missing. I will not buy from this company again.

Run -- don't walk -- and order this excellent piece of equipment. After some extensive research I settled for this rowing machine and am very satisfied with it! I walk 4 miles a day 6 days a week, but needed something more for cardio and upper-body workout. My brother is a physical therapist and he says walking and rowing are the 2 best comprehensive excercises one can do. It's easy to assemble, easy to use and fun too, and you can watch your favorite show while at it! PS: I took the feet holders off and covered the metal bar with foam tubing (Home Depot) so it's nice and cushy while holding your feet in place. I would recommend wearing shoes though.

Instructions easy to follow but some of the part numbers are wrong. The velcro closures for the foot rests needs to be redesigned, it is not user friendly and is the only issue I found with the rower. I liked the way the timer works. A very good value for the money and appears to be solidly built.

Good product for the price. The foot straps are the only issue I have with it. They could be designed to hold your feet better. I have to re-strap my feet every couple of minutes.

This rower works great! It is quiet, and more accurately mimics actual rowing over most other rowers. I have not had any problems with my feet coming out of the foot rests, it is possible they fixed the issue. The onboard computer failed after about 3 uses, I called the company's customer service department, and they sent another one promptly and cheerfully. Great company, great product.

Bought this just over a week ago online to ship to nearest Walmart..no troubles with that.
Putting together was fairly easy the only thing is to tighten up what is already put together from manufacture. I used it a few times and the seat started to rub and I found that the bolt came loose from the roller. I am 5'3" and my feet don't like to stay in foot rest but you can still get a work out with feet planted on floor, it would be nice if you could adjust the leg length on the machine for your height. But over all enjoy using this machine and feel the difference all over especially arms.

Item delivered via "Ship-to-store" service. Instructions are well written with good illustrations. Carton showed minor damage. Upon unpacking, found plastic end-caps for handgrips were both fractured. An email to the manufacturer yielded replacement parts in 3 days (under warranty). This unit is surprisingly rugged. Operation is smooth and very quiet.
This is exactly what I hoped it would be; a basic rowing machine that functions exactly as described. It is an outstanding value.

This is a good product. The only problem I had with is is that they didn't really plan for a woman who is only 5'1 . You have to strap your feet in to some pedals, for better rowing. Unfortunately, the pedals are pretty big, with only one strap that, normally, Im thinking would fit across the center of a persons foot. Im a size 6 shoe, and the strap barely covers the top of my foot, which means in mid row, my foot will slide right out, messing up the workout, as you have to stop and restrap. I fixed this problem by buying a pair of shoelaces and tying my foot in so that it doesnt slip out anymore. Kind of a pain, as you would expect the developers to think of this, but I didnt want to return, as I cant afford the pricier ones which might have better foot placement.

This is for someone who wants to build upper-body strength as it works predominantly the shoulders and upper back to improve posture. After the first set of slow 60's I was able to feel my back muscles pulling my shoulder girdle to the rear and this has happened every time since. One day when I had a lot of general tension and a little extra energy I did a slow set of 90 repetitions and see this happening in the future. I do not work this machine fast as its structure and function prohibits this unlike a weight-based rowing machine. I feel good and a little tired after a set of 60. Hold the button down to reset it at the beginning of a set. I workout on it every other day to allow for dissipation of lactic acid during the off day. Otherwise, I would be sore all of the time. I've always been that way.

Great piece of equipment for the price. It's small and easy to fold up for storage. Shipping was fast and all was well except it was missing the piece that keeps the seat from sliding off the back of the track. It worked out ok since my legs aren't long enough to push the seat that far back but it could be a problem for someone with longer legs.
