I love this remote. It controls all the things in my entertainment center from the TV to the Xbox360 and everything in between. The only flaw that I did find is that my computer would run the program, but the program would not interface with my network even if I hard wired it directly into my cable modem. Other than that, its got to be one of the best universal remotes I've bought.

After spending about an hour or so online setting up my remote to my tv,sat. box, reciever, vcr, dvd recorder and tape deck. Looping it so that all I have to do is push one button and all the items come on in the right modes and /or inputs, makes my life easier. I can change from watching a dvd to sat or to vcr or listen to a cd. With the push of one button. All the other remotes went into a drawer with their batteries out. Just the savings on batteries will be great. It is a truely learning remote, set it up how you want it to work. It's all at point and click then confirm. If you run into trouble the remote has it's own help button. It will ask you if a certain item is on or off and if it helped? If so say yes if not say no. If you want a remote that helps make your life easier get a Logitech.

I bought this remote to replace a Sony AV remote. The price was close to the original Sony remote. I found it fairly easy to set up and the 520 has all the functions of the original remote plus my dvd, tv, video, and my cable box. I fully recommend this remote. The price is ok, but the functions are excellent. The product does what it's advertised to do.

I love this remote control! It has allowed me to replace my seven others, and it controls my XBOX 360 as well as my PS2. I love the web-based set up and the ability to program several extra pages of special buttons. This remote does require a little extra work for the initial set up. One well spend hour of set up will save you the frustration of switching from remote to remote for a few years. One of my five children has broken my special remote, and I will replace it quickly.
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS REMOTE IF YOU: - don't like small buttons - don't like web-based applications - have poor eyesight - want a one-touch-read-your-mind remote

Out of many remotes I have purchased that claim to control everything this is the first one that can actually control everything. The setup is easy, but you must have a computer. You enter the brand and model number from each device you wish to control into your computer, connect the remote to the USB port with the provided cable and all the programing is done automatically. On the remote a screen shows all the activities you normally do, such as watch tv, watch a dvd, etc. pressing the button next each one turns on and set up each device for that activity. All the buttons on the remote control the proper devices. The off button turns off all the devices at once. It does it all.

I recieved my Logitech Harmony Remote with my Phiillips Plasma HDTV and was skeptical that it would work with all the components that I had. Well, I am pleasantly surprised. It worked with my TV, Digital Cable Box, my Phillips Surround Sound, and my XBOX 360. Just hook it up to your laptop, choose the devices that you want the remote to control, and it works pretty fast. Alot easier than some of the other "Universal" remotes. The best thing about it is, that when the cable installer tried to program my Digital Cable box and TV to work together, it wouldnt and he suggested using two remotes. Well, with the Harmony remote, I was able to control BOTH the TV and the cable box without any problems. I highly recommend this product.

We use the Logitech Xbox 360 Harmony remote for the living room and wanted to have one for the bedroom. It controls the TV,DVD Player, and CABLE BOX without a problem. I loved the product so much, I purchased one for my father, which says a lot!
If you have any doubts about spending more than $10 on a universal remote, keep in mind that Logitech has the drivers to over 50,000 devices and the Harmony remote can even learn from the old remote as well!
My father has a Sansui Tape deck from the 80's (bought in China) and there were drivers for it! It doesn't even have a remote to begin with!
There are certain things that I will pay a lot for: vacuums, bedding, and Logitech remotes!

I already owned a Harmony 720 for my main AV system. I LOVE that remote, but I couldn't justify the cost of another 720 for my bedroom system, so I bought the 520. I really wanted to like it, but couldn't. There's nothing wrong with the functionality, but the font on the screen is too small and too dim to read easily. The backlight doesn't help it any - in fact it makes it worse. I finally took it back and purchased a Harmony 550. That remote is a good compromise between the 520 and 720 (see separate reviews).

The remote works very well. My only complaint is that the different functions for the replaced remote are shown on the tiny screen. My Panasonic LCD TV uses 20 screens on the Logitech. Scrolling through to find specific functions is time consuming and tricky because some functions are not called the same thing on the devices original remote and the Logitech.

I wasn't sure on buying this item cause I had a hard believing that I could possibly go from 5 remotes down to one. So the seed of doubt was already planted. I bought this for my husband and mother in law for christmas. Both have completly set theirs up and I have to say that I am quite impressed. Ours runs and sets up all components to work as they are needed. For the price I couldn't have have asked for anything better. It is super easy to work, ( our 5 year old uses it) and it is so nice to have just one remote to work everything. I highly recommend this remote if you are looking for a universal remote.
