Barrel is not rifled

I received a used barrel that has scratches all over it and then looked down the bore to see there is no rifling, then to my surprise it was full of powder residue. It looks like it had been used on a several hunts. I immediately went to the mossberg site and ordered the barrel i expected this one to be. Ill be retuning this barrel tomorrow!

Not what I thought it was...

I love my Mossberg 835 as a turkey gun and wanted to shoot slugs, so I purchased this barrel. I was ASSUMING it was a rifled barrel and was disappointed upon receiving it as it is a SMOOTH BORE barrel, not RIFLED. (That's what I get for assuming) Which means it will shoot rifled slugs better. I was looking for the rifled version to shoot saboted slugs for better accuracy.
Great price, great quality, just not what I thought it was due to a poor description on this page.

I haven't shot it yet but the quality is good. I hope it will turn my turkey gun into a deer hunting gun. I changed the sights to fiber optics. The sights that were on it were no good in low light.

PUT IT ON MY MOSSBERG TURKEY GUN AND I HIT DEAD CENTER WITH MY FIRST SHOT WITH A KO SLUG. GREAT BARREL FOR DEER HUNTING.
