Good Game,

Alrighty I've been playing Guitar Hero since it came out and i have to say this one meets all expectations. My friends and myself enjoy the heck outta this game. I didn't have a problem with the instraments (IE no broken parts), but i did break one of the chimes for the drums 2 weeks after i got the game, drums should've been built a little stronger. Other then that, gameplay , grafics, songlist , online play, band play are all very good. They need to get more songs on the online store, but maybe it'll come in time. Now yall need to keep in mind, I've never played Rock Band, so i can't make the comparison. I just never got around to playing that one. But after this game i'm thinking about it. I can say !!! If you are a Guitar Hero enthusiest, you won't be dissapointed in this game, it's a good challenge and great fun both as a single player or as a band.

Excellent Replay Value,

Hi, I purchased this for my kids during summer break. We caught it on sale and ordered it on line. The site to store was a bit slow (1 week) but it arrived in perfect condition, it was packaged inside another box. Set up was easy, no instructions needed, plug it up and play. AA batteries were included for the guitar and drums. Microphone is usb so no batteries requried. Thus far (its been about a month) all parts are holding up very well. I was surprised at the good quality of the drum set. The guitar size is improved The song variety is awesome as well. I would highly reccommend this product.

Nice game, but bad hardware,

I had gotten the full band kit, and I was quite psyched. I hooked everything up, put the game in the X-Box, and began playing flawlessly. But one month later, the kick pedal's sensor died off, the yellow cymbal died, and the green pad dropped a lot of notes. Due to that the game was bought in October, Wal-Mart refused to take back the kit. Also, the whammy bar on the guitar broke, staying in place on top of the guitar, and not above it. Plus the slider bar seems very unnecessary, because it makes solos harder to play, not easier. I have bought a GH III guitar with Rock Band 2, and I have been more satisfied with that than I did the the GHWT Band Kit. The guitar in this game is TOO easy for the hardcore gamers. I got full combos on nearly have off the set list on my sightread(s) of the songs. The drum charts are repetitive, and it is impossible to get 100% on vocals. But the music creator is a nice addition. Plus, the purple notes, the drum fill sections, and the mic freestyle sections drain out the competitive aspects of the game. Overall, I would only buy this game if you were to buy it without the instruments.

has problems,

after a couple weeks one of the cymbals has to be hit really hard to work. activision is supposed to be sending me a "tuning kit" but seems like its taking forever. also, the songs aren't as good as the other one, you know, Rock Band
