I just got my camera, but the shipping of the product was of great concern. I did receive a fast response when asking to make sure it was in ok condition. I think the coverage is a necessity and reasonable.

In the past, I didn't get a warrenty and believe me I will never do it again. Things break on you just when you decide to not buy one, so now any item I buy a warrenty is purchased. I brought some security cameras this time.

I like how this warranty picks up where the original leaves off, rather than replacing the manufacturer warranty like other major electronics stores. The price is sometimes 1/2 of what I would pay at other stores. I've had to use the warranty before, and the process was fairly simple.

I think the 3 year warranty is a great plan. It will cover my camcorder better than Sony's warranty. What I do not like is that you have to print out this information from the website. Walmart needs to put together 1,2,3 year plan packet that can be printed instead of printing a lot of stuff that is not needed. Seems elementary to me.

We went to our local Walmart store to purchase this camcorder after seeing it on their website. When we were asked by the associate if we wanted the TWO year warranty, I told her that online it was for THREE years! She told us that is only online and the store cannot compete with their online products. What we therefore did was purchase the camcorder and warranty online and had it delivered to this same store (free shipping) and picked it up 10 days later. It was a hassle and thank goodness we did not need the camcorder immediately. I feel the three year warranty was a good deal because it does cover cleaning it yearly and my other camcorders needed minor repairs soon after the one year manufacturer's warranty was up.
