i bought a 3 year service plan for my samsung 60" tv and i encourage everyone to buy a service plan when making a major purchase like this, better to be safe than sorry, also i hope i never have to use the plan, i bought the samsung 60" tv because of other reviews, but any thing mechanical can break down at anytime even if it is new, so protect yourself and your investment and look at it as having insurance.
right now i honestly do not know what the value of the service plan is right now?? and that is why i gave it 5 stars, to me this is like an insurance plan that i have and hope i never have to use it. remember protect yourself with a service plan!!!

I liked the price for the extended warranty. I can't say if the extended warranty is a good value since I have not had to use it. Hopefully, I won't have to use it. If I do, then I will review how it worked.

I bought a 40 inch Samsung LCD tv some years back. A month before the extended warranty expired the tv picture started blinking on and off. Thanks to the extended warranty it was repaired. The repair without the warranty would have cost around 350.00. It saved me a couple of hundred.

After searching Sqaure Trade's website for a similar extended warranty, this one does the same thing for close to $50 cheaper. The ones at other stores were over $200. Hopefully I will never need to use it though.
