Norelco 8160XLCC Speed-XL Electric Shaver

I've owned the shaver for 2 months now. I can say that if you've got a thick full beard, don't bother with it. I do and it takes me about 40 minutes to shave my face everyday. I thought it would get easier with time, but I was wrong. It works but my throw away razor does a better job in about a 1/4 of the time it takes me to use this one. Quality & reiliability are there, but I think I wasted $116.00 on something that a $1.00 razor does it better & quicker.

I have always used a foil shaver, but I decided to try a rotary. Closeness is excellent, the trimmer for sideburns is also great, however, shaving up close to the sideburn is not impressive. I found it difficult to get a close shave up close to the sideburn. Super quite, a nice feature, especially in the morning when you don't like to hear a noisy shaver. Overall, I would recommend this shaver and give it a 9 out of 10.

My dad is really pleased with this razor! The self-cleaning ability is amazing! We highly recommend it.

It was a very good product my husband loves it. He uses it everyday before he goes to work on the 2nd shift. His skin is smooth to the touch which is a big plus for me. I would recommend getting this for any guy on your list.

My husband has an old Norelco shaver that he had been replacing the blades on for years. His Father's Day gift of a new Norelco was perfect! It runs so much quieter, holds the charge so much longer and provides a great shave...especially since my husband also shaves his head! Great shaver for coarse hair.

I have been a Norelco user for for about 15 years and have always been impressed with the reliability of their razors and this one promises to be just as good. Not looking for flashing lights or anything fancy, but construction seems sturdy and shaver does the job.

I've used the Norelco 8160XLCC for several years now and find it to be the best shaver Norelco has produced to date. I own 2 additional Norelcos, first one is more than 20 years old and still running. I replaced the rechargable battery in it 3 years ago. Great products from a quality manufacturer. I keep the other 2 razors at our 2nd homes for use when I'm there.

I bought this as a gift for my husband who shaves every day. He is very pleased with the product, is easy to clean and ergonomic.

I have been using a regular razor every since I have been shaving and have occasionally used a very old electric razor when I was in a hurry. I was very supprised at how close a shave I received with my new Norelco 8160XLCC. From the time I first started using it I got a shave that was so close that I could hardly tell the differency between the shave I go from the Norelco and the shave that I got from a blade. The only complaint that I have is that the cleaning mechanism is a certain amount of trouble to set up and use and the indicator lights on it do not seem to operate the way I understood that they would from the instructions so that I can't tell when it is done cleaning the razor. The cleaning must be working though, since the razor continues to do a good job. (You must fill a tank in the cleaning mechanism with a cleaning fluid, place the razor in the cleaning mechnism and push a button to get it to clean itself). (There is an option on this review entry website to select from a list how often I use the product. I use it every other day and the options avialable in the list include every day and every few days with every other day not being included)
