AMAZING MACHINE - Great for Homes with PUPPIES!,

I really LOVE this machine!! We are trying hard to house train our puppy, but quite frankly we have had a LOT of accidents, and inevitably when he poops in the house it is a rather wet consistency (YUCK!). What AMAZES me most is that, even when I clean the stain thoroughly by hand using traditional foam carpet cleaner and brush it out so it looks fine, the Spot Bot can still get a TON more yucky stuff out of the deep fibers of the rug. Our rugs are less than a year old, yet the dirty water tank pulls out dark brown water even after it looks to the eye like the stain has been thoroughly cleaned up by hand. This means it also gets out ALL the smell and there are no lingering odors. BIGGEST PROS: really deep, deep cleaning; eliminates all lingering odors and leaves fresh smell; incredibly easy and convenient - just set it on the stain and walk away (no elbow grease and you don’t have to put on rubber gloves and scrub at nasty smelly poo poo!); this thing really works great! MINOR CONS: the OxyClean stuff can be expensive (I just squirt a little directly on difficult spots before running the machine rather than mixing so much of it into the tank); machine beeps incessantly once cycle finishes to tell you it is done cleaning; leaves a clean wet spot that can take a little while to dry (with area rugs, you can flip rug up so dries faster and doesn’t damage hardwood floors underneath). I never ever take the time to write product reviews and am not easily impressed by household appliances. But this little machine works so well that I felt I had to write about it!! I definitely do not see how anyone can survive puppy training without one!

This has been a marriage saver. My older dog is having accidents, and this makes clean up soo much easier. Works great on pet stains, dirt, and "What is that?" Instead of using the cleaning solution that came with the product, we spray the carpet with a cleaning solution (like Resolve) then use the SpotBot. After two years of regular use, it no longer works independently (the brushes are not moving) but we definitely got our money's worth out of it... and the manual setting still works fine. If your carpet is dirty, the clean circles will be visible, but the manual setting can help with blending the two. We will be getting another one soon!

I have owned the spot bot for atleast 2 years. I does do a good job cleaning and is very easy to use. However at this point my machine is practically unusable. The hose has become completely molded up and will smell up the entire room when used. I contacted the company to find out if I could get a new hose or use something to clean it out. Come to find out, the hose does not detach. They said to try hot water. That does not work on mold. They also said I could not try any additional cleaners to get that out. So now I have a cleaner that works great, that I can't use. I guess my point is: don't buy it because you can't clean it. A cleaner that needs to be cleaned...isn't that odd? The dirty tank is also virtually disgusting. I have cleaned it out after EVERY use and is still growing mold...lovely. I'm not sure how they expect it to stay clean if you can't take it apart to clean it??? Don't waste your money.

I got this because of pet stains on my carpet. WOW this was a back saver! You get what you paid for so if you purchase a cheaper model Im sure it will not do the job that this one does!

I have had my machine for approx 2 years. Under very seldom usage the hose has a hole in it. After contacting the company I discovered that you can only take it to a service center to have the hose replaced. Very costly I am sure. I am just going to purchase a different maching rather than pay for the repairs. I would recommend looking for a higher quality machine than this one in the first place.

the spotbot did not work straight out of the box. the spraying mechanism was not working at all, in automatic mode or manual mode. the suction and the brush worked fine. i eventually just poured some of the solution directly on a set-in stain and ran it and the machine DID clean the spot, and it seemed to get out about 75% of the stain. i returned the product the next day. i will try something else next time. aside from this one issue, the cleaner seemed like it would work pretty well for spot treatments. also, the spotbot is very loud. from reading reviews it appears that most of the consumer carpet steamers have major problems and are not built to last. i guess you just have to shop at your own risk and be prepared to either repair or replace your steamer within months to one year.

We love this cleaner. We had the little green machine before and it just didn't cut it, I wish I had returned it because now it just sits there since we bought spot bot. Pros: You can use any type of solution you want. It picks up old stains really well, might take a couple tries to get out really old stains. Its not noisy at all. You just put it down on the stain and walk away. So many more reasons to buy this product. Works wonderful with animal stains too. Cons: Goes through a little more solution than I'm used to but worth it! I highly recommend!!!

It is a great product for the first few times we used it but the robotic parts easily break and then you must use it in the manual mode...like any other rug scrubber you become the Motor/ elbow grease that supplies the energy that scrubs the spot. BUT it is the only product of its kind. Because it breaks so easy it is truly a luxury item ..not economical to own.
