Bissell SpotBot Hands-Free Portable Deep Cleaner

The manual wand feature was defective, completely non-functioning. So I ended up returning it to the store after talking on the phone with a Customer Service Rep. @ Bissell and determining that the product was indeed defective.

The regular floor feature works great ONLY if you already have a pretty clean carpet and are just spot cleaning it. If you need an all over clean, then this is not the right product for your needs. It will then leave only a clean circle on your carpet. This product does not replace the need to have your carpet thoroughly cleaned over all annual or bi-annually.

I was very please with the SpotBot. I have two dogs that have accidents from time to time and this machine with the Pet Stain and Odor Remover from Bissell Took stains out that had been in for months. I would recommend this product very highly. The cleaners are part of the key to the products operation so make sure you use the correct products. The Oxygen2 help a lot as well.

I have a new puppy at home and bought this to clean up his little accidents on the carpet. I absolutely LOVE it. Is easy to use and works great. I have used in the manuel mode the most. Haven't used on any other kinds of stains but I am sure it would work great. I would recommend this product to anyone!

I really LOVE this machine!! We are trying hard to house train our puppy, but quite frankly we have had a LOT of accidents, and inevitably when he poops in the house it is a rather wet consistency (YUCK!). What AMAZES me most is that, even when I clean the stain thoroughly by hand using traditional foam carpet cleaner and brush it out so it looks fine, the Spot Bot can still get a TON more yucky stuff out of the deep fibers of the rug. Our rugs are less than a year old, yet the dirty water tank pulls out dark brown water even after it looks to the eye like the stain has been thoroughly cleaned up by hand. This means it also gets out ALL the smell and there are no lingering odors.

BIGGEST PROS: really deep, deep cleaning; eliminates all lingering odors and leaves fresh smell; incredibly easy and convenient - just set it on the stain and walk away (no elbow grease and you don’t have to put on rubber gloves and scrub at nasty smelly poo poo!); this thing really works great!

MINOR CONS: the OxyClean stuff can be expensive (I just squirt a little directly on difficult spots before running the machine rather than mixing so much of it into the tank); machine beeps incessantly once cycle finishes to tell you it is done cleaning; leaves a clean wet spot that can take a little while to dry (with area rugs, you can flip rug up so dries faster and doesn’t damage hardwood floors underneath).

I never ever take the time to write product reviews and am not easily impressed by household appliances. But this little machine works so well that I felt I had to write about it!! I definitely do not see how anyone can survive puppy training without one!

I received the SpotBot as a gift and it has to be the best gift of all time! I use this daily - between my cats, dog and kids! I tell everyone about it and that they should get one too! I also lend it out to people to use : ) The only suggestion I can make is not to put too much cleaning solution in it because if you have too much it leaves soapy rings around the room. You just have to find a nice mixture of the solution to water and it work perfectly!

Got this product for my micro fiber sofa. Had heavy stain from my pet and this product works excellent. My sofa looks new. Will recommend to anyone and the price was excellent.

This has been a marriage saver. My older dog is having accidents, and this makes clean up soo much easier. Works great on pet stains, dirt, and "What is that?" Instead of using the cleaning solution that came with the product, we spray the carpet with a cleaning solution (like Resolve) then use the SpotBot. After two years of regular use, it no longer works independently (the brushes are not moving) but we definitely got our money's worth out of it... and the manual setting still works fine. If your carpet is dirty, the clean circles will be visible, but the manual setting can help with blending the two.

I have owned the spot bot for atleast 2 years. I does do a good job cleaning and is very easy to use. However at this point my machine is practically unusable. The hose has become completely molded up and will smell up the entire room when used. I contacted the company to find out if I could get a new hose or use something to clean it out. Come to find out, the hose does not detach. They said to try hot water. That does not work on mold. They also said I could not try any additional cleaners to get that out.
So now I have a cleaner that works great, that I can't use.
I guess my point is: don't buy it because you can't clean it. A cleaner that needs to be cleaned...isn't that odd? The dirty tank is also virtually disgusting. I have cleaned it out after EVERY use and is still growing mold...lovely.
I'm not sure how they expect it to stay clean if you can't take it apart to clean it???

Don't waste your money.

I bought this for my dogs accidents of both kinds. It works great. I don't use the solution though, I use a natural carpet stain remover spray. I spray the spot and then ten minutes later I come back and place the spot bot on the stain and hit the start button. I have also used it for kids messes as well. My daughter got sick one night and we thought she made it to the bathroom okay, but the next day I found a puddle of dried vomit by her bed. The spot shot had no trouble cleaning it up. I only gave it a 4 for value because it uses so much solution. It took one bottle for two or three stains so I just use cheap carpet stain spray and it still works great.
