I usually dont write reviews. I bought this bissell steam cleaner hoping this would get my carpet clean. I have used it five times and all five times the same spots show back up, now the water wont come out and it doesn't get anything out of the carpet. Less than 6 months old. DO NOT BUY THIS ONE! A $3 bottle of tuff stuff cleans better than this cleaner. Also it leaves matted up wet dirty carpet on the floor ( when it actually "worked").

I really loved using this shampooer. It did the job just great and I was super pleased with the results. Assembly is not hard to figure out, and I like the separate water and soap feature. This machine will pay for itself!

First, you should know that I spend like $70 a month to get my carpet professionally cleaned, but not anymore....
I live in an 1,100 square foot apartment with an active 2 y/o. My carpet had red juice stains, red sauce, markers, paint, crayon, everyday dirt, and huge dark stains in traffic areas. It only took me about 1 hour to completely clean all the rooms.
OMG...it was amazing; so amazing that I cleaned the carpet twice (all in 1 hour). The carpet looks brand spanking new (no joke). It only took about 2 hours to dry. I could see the dirt lift right up from the carpet. I couldn't believe how dirty the carpet was. The clean water and dirty water are separted and the product is easy to clean.
The automatic feature that heats the water really works. The product came with some carpet cleaner solution. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that additional hand piece didn't really clean my couch very well...But hey, I'll try again next month and see.
If you want a fresh smell, you can use any carpet solution (itshould have Oxy for tough stains) to clean the carpet. Simply add your favorite fabric softner (I like Snuggle) to the carpet solution and you will get clean and fresh scented carpet without having to buy expensive products.
I bought the product in the store for $175.

I love this cleaner. I've used the Bissel steam cleaner for years. But this upright unit is so much more user friendly. I think the only drawback is the small water bladder...I'm used to being able to dump about 3 gallons at a time from my other unit. The carpet I needed to clean was a mess...dogs, kids, etc. I'm really happy with the end results. The carpet looks so much brighter, you can see the dull dirt layer is gone. Be sure to let the cleaner do the work. When doing your final passes, GO SLOW!!! Seems to extrude better when pulling back, than when pushing forward.

I LOVE this machine! I was amazed at how much dirt it removed that was left behind by my old carpet cleaner. I really like the heated water feature. I would definately recommend this product--in fact, we bought one to give as a Christmas present this year.

Love the ProHeat2X. It is easy to assemble, and easy to use. What I liked is that it does not take a lot of strength to empty the dirty water. It cleans the carpets really well. After using it my carpets look great. Thank You Bissell.

The product worked great. It did use too much solution and water with the recommended spraying on the 1st forward and backward motion. Only spray on the forward motion now, saves water and cleaning solution. Did not have any problems with the dirty water getting in with the clean water like some other people. They must be doing some rapid movements for that to happen. I use the water only cycle to rinse out the sprayers of solution. I have used this unit twice and very pleased so far with three more rooms to go. Also seen where somebody had problems with the hand tool falling out of its holder. There is a piece that rotates over the hand cleaner to keep that in. Very impressed on the amount of dirt that this unit pulled out of the carpet. Suggest you sweep where you cleaned before moving anything back in to your room. Not a complaint, just what you need to do after your carpet dries.

Bissell lives up to its reputation with this cleaner. I deepcleaned a VERY soiled carpet in a rental unit. This cleaner did a great job. The only downfall is the attachment didn't work well on the steps or corners. I would recommend this products for large carpeted areas but not for steps.

The product was received in a timely fashion and in perfect condition. We used the product shortly after that and it worked beautifully. We have a Rott/Lab mix dog and she is sometimes like bull in a china shop and being a dog doesn't wipe her paws.., so the first try with the 2x was absolutely amazing. The carpet looked like new. We liked the way it did indeed deep clean the carpet, we know this as we vaccumed with our regular Dyson sweeper before cleaning and it still pulled more of her hair out of the rug and we were amazed. We are thoroughly pleased with the product and purchasing it at Walmart!

This cleaner performed as others who reviewed it said it would. It got up old pet stains and even some oil that I thought had long set in the carpet. My husband and I used to clean carpets for a living, so this machine was impressive to me for the cost and performance. That being said, the drawback I noticed is that you have to fill up the clean water bladder 3 times for a room 15 x 20. The machine is VERY heavy. Also, I was not prepared for the expensive cleaning solutions. But, I still like it!

I had high hopes for this deep cleaner. The price is fair, HOWEVER, the container for the clean/dirty water and the cleaning solution are so very small that you can only clean your carpets for 10 minutes before you have to turn off this machine and empty the tank and refill the cleaning solution!! It was beyond frustrating!! I don't even know if the onboard heater really worked at keeping the water hot because I couldn't clean my carpets long enough for the water to get cold!!! This cleaner works great if all you want to clean is a 3x5 rug. But if you intend to clean your living room carpet with it I suggest you have ALOT of patience for stopping and starting,emptying and refilling! Had I known this about this machine I would not have bought it!

Have used this cleaner to clean 2 very large rooms and one normal sized room....Am very impressed with this product....It is easy to set up for cleaning and much easier to move than I had invisioned....Love the heated water and floor....You can see the amount of water being pulled from the carpets....Carpets dried in a couple of hours....Have only had it for a couple of weeks so can't say about the complaint about the sprayer failing....However, a professional cleaning for the 3 rooms I did cost the same as the Carpet cleaner did so allready paid for itself....(looks just as good!)

I used this machine 2 times and I have to return it this weekend. The 1st time I used it I noticed that It dosen't pick up the water off of the carpet well at all I had to keep the fans running all night to help dry the carpet and It was in the 70's outside when I cleaned the carpet . It uses a lot of solution and the tanks are together put the clean water in a plastic bag and the dirty water goes inside the same tank. The 2nd time I used this machine when I used the attachment for my stairs I have 20 stairs and the water stop spraying after the 10th step. I had never used this attachment before the attachment suck up the water better than the machine itself. by the time I cleaned the living rm. 10 stairs, my bedrm. when I got to the hallway to continue to the 2nd bedrm. the water stop comming out of the tank completely and I had to stop cleaning the carpet. I am returning this product to get a full refund. With tax this machine came to $199.00. this machine is good for throw area rugs only!!!!!!

We have had this cleaner for about 4 years and didn't have any problems with it until we moved to a new house and had three dogs who shed. The product got clogged with hair, but after cleaning it out it still works great. Never had a problem with any parts breaking or leaking.
