The Presto Dual ProFry 12-Cup Deep Fryer is a must-have accessory for any kitchen. It is a stainless steel deep fryer with dual baskets. The fryer can fry two food items at once in extra large batches. The electric deep fryer has a 12-cup food capacity and you can enjoy restaurant-like food at home with this accessory and fry up family-sized meals in no time. The oblong-shaped baskets are ideal for large pieces of chicken or fish and the adjustable thermostat helps you set the perfect frying temperature for your food items. Multiple safety features also round out the package. The Presto dual basket stainless steel deep fryer has an 1800-watt immersion element that gives quick preheating and fast oil recovery time. It comes with an easy cleaning enameled pot. While cooking, you can use the filtered cover to reduce splattering. Cook your favorite deep fried items with the adjustable thermostat that allows you to select from a variety of frying temperatures.
I was pleased with the performance of products. Heats and fries evenly. The only disappointment is that the dual baskets aren't as large as they appeared to be on line and you have to purchase the "large" single basket separately.

Everything would have been excellent if they had bubble-wrapped the contents to prevent damages during shipping to the (micro)-thin stainless casing.. Had two dents on the front that i will live with to prevent more headache of sending it back.. Besides that particular issue, i believe it will be a great addition to the kitchen.. Time will tell..

When I first used the fryer it was smoking a lot, but when I strained and reused the oil to fry fish for the second and third time - minimum amount of smoke came out! My recommendations, however, are to reuse the oil (you're going to need a lot of it to fill up the fryer) and not to follow the frying directions from the manufacturer's booklet too closely if you want your food a bit more golden brown and crispier - let it fry a little longer! Good fryer overall though, as well as it does not take up a lot of space in the kitchen.

This is my 1st Presto Fryer. Only had the fryer about 2 month, but so far an excellent product. Heats up quickly, maintains heat, basket size is very large for large fryings. Very impressed so far. I definitly would recommend this product.

I purchased this primarily for the Super Bowl Party I hosted at my home.
With a menu that consisted of French Fries, Homemade Tortilla chips, Nachos, Butterfly shrimp, Breaded mushrooms and Breaded chicken tenders, this fryer made serving the crowd a breeze! Everything came out perfectly cooked and received rave reviews from the crowd.
I would note, that it is VERY advisable to use the fryer under a Robust vent fan. Personally, I set it up outside after a cooking up a few orders of Fries, due to not having an exhaust fan strong enough to keep up with it. But, my outdoor kitchen is equipped well enough to use it there.
Bottom Line.....If you need a deep fryer, that would rival a restaurant (on a miniature scale)...This is IT!

I bought this for my husband & he loves it! He makes wing dings mostly with it & frozen items. I've used it to make funnel cakes and I found it to be a great product & easy to use. Easy to clean, great for a family of four, portable as well. (Which we need for our camper)

Review 11 for Presto Dual ProFry 12-Cup Deep Fryer
I was surprised to find the lid to the fryer is plastic and you can not use it if you are frying anything with alot of moisture, so the grease splatters every where. The outside of the unit is very flimsy aluminum material and the handles are a hard plastic. The unit takes a long time to heat up. I am not overly impressed with the fryer and now wished I would have spent the extra $30 and got one like my old one.

I had my husband get this for me for Christmas. I have already used it a few times and very pleased and happy with it. It is exactly what I had been looking for. It doesn't take long to fry and take half the time my old fryer did. Hello to my new deep fryer.... goodbye to my old fryer!!

Review 16 for Presto Dual ProFry 12-Cup Deep Fryer
Dual baskets are Great!

Pros: Good looking unit. Well made. Accurate temp control. Foods come out nice and crispy. Baskets have more than enough room cooking for two, would also do nicely for four. The 1800 watt element heats the oil to the stated 375 degree mark (according to my candy thermometer), and maintains it's temp. really well. All the lower power units I have tried just don't reach the proper temperatures.
OVERALL AN EXCELLENT UNIT!!!
Cons: 1) It takes awhile longer to heat up, probably due to the amount of oil it holds. 2) It does use allot of oil.

This is a good fryer. It heats up very quickly. The only complaint I have is it takes up quite a bit of room on the counter. I was pleasantly surprised how deep the baskets were.
