We purchased this carseat because our son has outgrown his infant carrier, and this seat has three uses, rear facing, front facing, and also a booster with seat belt. We chose this one over the Graco Nautilis because the Nautilis is not Rear facing, so the child has to be a year old to sit in it, and our son is only 9 mos. This seat took my husband and I over 2 hours to install rear facing using the LATCH system. I would consider my husband pretty crafty and handy and he could not get this seat in my car correctly. He had to remove it several times, taking all the parts of the seat apart, and he is still not satisfied with how its installed in the car. He says the directions are horrible, and installing it rear facing is a night mare. However, my son likes riding in it, and I think it will be great forward facing, but we have 3 mos to go before he can sit in forward. I havent had it long enough to say if I would buy it again, but the installation was frustrating to begin with. I hope it goes smoother from here on out

Here's what I love about this car seat! 1) It will last my son until he doesn't need a seat anymore since it goes to 100 lbs 2) It will do both rear and forward facing positions. So far, installation was fairly easy with just the seat belt and not using the LATCH system. 3) It adjusts for height REALLY easily and simply. LOVED that feature! 4) It's not too heavy so if I have to move it, I won't dread it!

When I researched my 1st childs next car seat, I constantly came back to liking this one. It seemed durable, easy to use and a big step up from his infant seat (which like most babies, he'd outgrown by 9 mo.). I knew that we'd need a seat that would still face the rear but give his legs and feet plenty of room. This one does just that. But, despite all of it's great qualities, I can't seem to justify the extra money spent. I havn't tried to take off the cover yet, so I can't comment on that, but it just seems like an average seat. Hopefully when it's converted frontward, and then again into a booster, I'll find more good qualities that will make me appreciate the extra time and money. One great thing I've found as a rear-facing seat is that because of all the extra room his legs have, I may be able to keep him rear-facing past his 1yr birthday! I'm looking forward to that, considering that the longer you can keep your child rear-facing, the more he'll be protected in a crash!

We got this car seat for our daughter when she outgrew her infant car seat. I was concerned, because I had heard that this car seat has a lot of returns, but when I disovered htat the returns were simply because it deosnt' fit well in smaller cars, I was not concerned. We have a van, and I do have to say that in a smaller vehicle it would be a suepr tight fit rear facing. We didn't have that problem though. My biggest issue with it rer facing, was that it does not recline well, and my daughter was more upright than I would have liked. I did not even dare use the pillow because that threw her head farther forward. When we switched it to forward facing, I was much happier. It fit better in the van seat, since I could take the base off, and I didn't have a problem. I heard a lot of horror stories about it being hard ot install, hard to get tight in the seat, and what not, but if you follow the instructions, it is actually a breeze. It is a suepr sturdy car seat, with tons of room to fit her for years to come. I find the quality and ease of use equivalent to Britax, without the price tag.

We bought this carseat for our daughter when she turned 11 months after she outgrew her infant car seat. She has much more leg room and seems more comfortable sitting upright, not leaning back so much. On our first trip with the new carseat, she fell asleep in the first 10 minutes and her head didn't flop over to the side. I like the fact it has arm rests although she doesn't use them yet. I also like the detachable juice cup holder. It was not that hard to set up, just don't try to figure it out yourself...that's what the instruction booklet is for. Great buy!

I actually have the model right before this one - but I thought I'd leave a review on it. I purchase my Alpha Omega Elite at the beginning of 2007. We love it! It does take up a little room when rear facing. I have a Ford Focus and it fit fine in the middle (of the back seat of course!)
My toddler is constantly spilling her juicey cup and getting snacks all over her car seat - so I am a PRO at taking the seat in and out and washing everything. The first time it was a little tricky knowing how to take all the straps off and removing all the coverings. But after a few times you will be a pro too!
My new baby is almost getting too big for her infant carrier so I will be purchasing this model for her as well!
*Spend the extra money on a nice (very padded) car seat for your child - they're worth it!

I've had this car seat for a couple weeks now and I really like it. My 7 1/2 month old has alot more room now and seems to like it also. The only thing I don't like is that it sits more upright so his head falls forward when he falls asleep. All in all I think this is a great car seat.

This car seat just feels cheap. My daughter (almost 3) was uncomfortable and unhappy from the minute she sat down. Most importantly, it doesn't seem that this seat would hold up in a crash (as it is constructed of cheap feeling plastic) - and we didn't want to wait to find out. We returned the seat the next day and opted for the GRACO Nautilus. It is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. It actually has some steel rather than plastic (making the seat seem much sturdier) and my daughter is more comfy as well.

I purchased this seat for my daughter who's turning 1yr. So far i love this seat, it fits great in my jeep and she's very comfortable in it. for the fist time it's not a fight to have to go some where in a seat.The material wipes off easily and is pretty soft to the touch. I would buy this again.

This carseat may seem big when you have it reclined in the rearfacing position but size really dont matter after you understand how outstanding this carseat is! It is super comfortable and very durable! The harness is outsatanding 4 our 6month old. When I took it for installation, they were saying not only does the carseat rock but the brand is the best kind and highly reccomended. My husband and I both wanted the same carseat w/ out even knowing! I cant wait to put him in it facing fwd

Overall this car seat is a good product. It took a little time to install it in the car but eventually got it done. We had to use towels under seat base to get it to fit just right, same as our infant seat. I don't think there is a car seat that will fit perfectly in our vehicle rear facing. Getting baby in and out of seat is easy, harness is easy to use. Baby seems comfortable in seat while riding in car. Have noticed on occasion his head will tend to hang down when he falls asleep. I would recommend this seat

I have a 7 month old son who used to HATE riding in the car. I wanted to find a carseat that had great reviews on safety and satisfaction, and a seat that also looked great. I found everything I could ever need in this car seat. This seat is easy to install,looks great, and my son is so comfortable in the big,roomy seat. He has not cried once since we got the seat !! Now we can finally take him with us when we run errands around town and we never hear a peep out of him !! It's so nice to be able to take him out with us everytime and have him be apart of every aspect of our lives ! I would recommend this product to anyone who has an infant who doesn't like being in the car.
