I purchased this vacuum for my mother 2 weeks ago. The appearance is nice and the bagless canister is very easy to remove and empty! The suction thus far is extremely powerful!! We'll see as time goes on how it lasts and how much maintenance is required.... It is a little too heavy for her to carry up to the 2nd floor of her home, but she does like the attachment and it will reach high places easily. All-in-all, no camplaints and a good buy so far!

We just bought this vacuum today since our old Oreck vacuum that we have had for about 6 years finally died and we wanted to get something bagless this time. We have only had it for a day, but we have already used it and it has done an AMAZING job on all of our carpets (Berber and plush), and even our new hardwood floors that we just had installed! We have pets and it just does the best job sucking up all of the dog and cat hair that gets trapped in the carpets. We couldn't believe how much it picked up and how great our carpets look. I'm sure that we'll have this vacuum for many years to come and we would highly recommended it to anyone. It's does an even better job than our old Oreck, which we paid about twice as much for!

This is the second sweeper I have purchased of its kind. It's not real heavy, and its simplicity makes it easy for anyone to use. Exceptional suction for a vacuum of this price range. Regular cleaning of the filter and other components contributes to maximizing its efficiency. It does have plastic parts which wear and eventually break, like the feature that holds the handle up in its place. The electric cord could be a little more flexible, but most vacuums have the same stiff cord. This vacuum holds up pretty well under constant use and is a reasonable price for what you get.

Battle for new vaccum vs. old vacuum...

8 years ago when my husband and I married, someone bought us a Hoover upright with the bags. It seemed to be a kinda cheap vaccum but it served it's purpose. The last couple years, I've noticed that dirt and crumbs would shoot out the side of the vaccum and I'd have to do twice the work. Hubby, for some reason never noticed this and thought I was crazy for wanting another one when the one we have "works perfectly fine." This morning, we were cleaning the house and hubby dragged out the old vacuum and did his thing. Later that morning, I insisted that we buy a new one, against his wishes. Got home, put it together (which was SUPER simple!) and RE-vacuumed the house, just to show him what the old machine was leaving behind. His eyes about popped out of his head! I love being right AND getting my way...lol! So far I'm REALLY enjoying it! Can't wait to see what else this baby can do!!!!!!!!

We have owned everything from this product to two Oreks. None had great longivety but we don't buying this product every 18 months because it is adecent machine which a lot less and lasts almost as long as much more expensive vavumns.

Where do I start with this vaccum. The best I've ever owned overall. For the price you CANNOT beat it.
I just held the handle and it cleaned while I followed it from room to room, in amazement at it's cleaning power, and features. Perfect size for a tiny woman who loves clean floors.

My upright shopvac sadly broke, so I was on the hunt for a new one. I read all the great reviews of this vacuum, and boy am I glad I got it!
I have NO idea why people say this vacuum is heavy? Seriously, you have to have no muscle or you're 85 if you think it is...
The suction is great. And it's really not that loud. Not even on hardwood/tile. Not any louder than any other vacuum I've had. Never would expect to have a conversation while I'm vacuuming.
The turbobrush was great for vacuuming the couch, where our cat likes to hang out, and for getting under the bed.
I also like that this vacuum can bend fairly low so I can easily get underneath our dining room chairs.
I would NOT recommend this on small rugs (aka, the one in you the bathroom or by your kitchen sink). The suction is too powerful. So just give your mats a good shake and vacuum up what fell out :) Simple as that!
I'm one who empties the canister after every use, no matter what, and cleans the filters. That's a little excessive, I know, but it insures that your filters will go a long way!
Buy this vacuum!

After years of using a Hoover and always feeling like my carpets were still dirty, I have found this wonderful product. It was much cheaper than most vacuums that we looked at but has been the best vacuum that I have ever used! I have had it for a year and it still cleans my floors just as well as it did the first time! I am in love.

After fighting with a much more expensive vacuum for years and wishing for an easier to use vacuum, today was the day to make my purchase. I had planned on purchasing a cheaper Bissell, but once in the store, this model grabbed my attention. I compared this and the other model and decided to go with this one because of the nice turbo roller attachment that said worked with pet hair. Very easy to assemble. Slide the top handle part on and add a screw. Done. I can't believe the amount it picked up. Very very easy to push, easy to carry and the hose attachments have so much suction I was shocked! I am pleasantly surprised how much power this vacuum has and am actually excited to clean.

I Bought this vaccum about 5 years ago $30 less, and it still works as good as new I have to replace the belt about once a year. I almost threw it out about 4 years ago because it had no suction and then I decided to look up trbleshooting online and if you unclog the hose after heavy vaccuming and clean or replace filters every once in a while this item is worth the investment!! although I am having a hard time finding attachments replacements since I lost all mine from various moves. I dont think I will throw this puppy away until burns out!!

So far, I like this better than my Sears Kenmore Cannister I paid $299 bucks for,but then again I just bought the Bissell tonight, so hopefully it will last awhile. The suction is very good, especially fpr 93 bucks. It is VERY easy to put put together, took all of 2 minutes. It picked up ALOT of dust in my living room. For the quality is very good for the small amount to pay for a vacuum. I definately recommend this for anyone on a tight budget or even if your not, its a good product.

We got this to replace our 10+ year old Hoover bagged upright. It was still working fine, but my wife and I recently found that our son has allergies to dust mites so we wanted to get a HEPA vacuum. After a lot of searching we decided on this one, as we wanted one in-store under $100.
The good-
* long cord: much longer than the Hoover. I can get most everywhere in the house only unplugging once.
* hose & attachments: the hoover's hose was useless. This one works great, seems long enough and the little rotating brush is a good feature for stairs and chairs.
* suction: it seems to have more oomph than the hoover did.
the bad:
* HEAVY: call it "sturdy construction" or whatever you like, but it's heavy. Not a deal breaker though.
* LOUD: on bare floors it sounds like a saw, though carpets aren't as bad. Still, I don't expect to talk on the phone while I vacuum, so still no deal breaker here.
* poor pickup: the hoover had problems with shooting dirt out the back, which was a major problem. This one doesn't have that problem, but it does have a lot of trouble passing the cheerio test. My swivel sweeper does a better job. This is the biggest issue so far.
We also looked at the Hoover Whisper but couldn't find it in our local store. We may have gone that route. We like it enough to keep it, but not enough to recommend it.

I just bought this vacuum and used it all weekend. I didn't realize how poor my old vacuum was performing until I vacuumed with this one. I literally vacuumed my living room 3x to make sure I had everything picked up. My carpet looks great. I still cannot believe how much dust and dirt a carpet holds. The suction on this vacuum is great. I especially noticed that after dusting and vacuuming, the dust has not returned.
There is only one downfall that I have experienced. When you empty the cup and pull down the filter to wash it, all the dust and debris, fall into the area where the cup goes. So you end up vacuuming the area where you pulled these parts out of the vacuum. But for the price, you can't be beat.

I consider vacs disposable appliances because I go through so many! However, hands down this is the best I have used! I bought it used..so it had a life before my house and all our pets, cats and dogs! It picks up even the finest of pet hair! And it is so easy to empty! and cleaning the filters is a breeze. I did manage to clog the hose once with pet hair and because of the design it's very easy to remove the hose and run a wire hanger or broom stick through and unclog..it's a straight hose right into the vac..soooo EASY!!! I highly recommend this vac!

I just tried this vacuum for the 1st time & I HATE it!!! I am shocked at all of the great reviews!!! This vacuum is WIMPY. YES, it is light, but I think that is why the suction on this thing is HORRIBLE!!!!! I vacuumed my rug & didn't feel it was doing a good job. So I went over the rug again w/my old vacuum & sure enough, it picked lots that the other vacuum missed!!! It is going RIGHT back tomorrow!!! What a disappointment, especially after all of these reviews!!!!! STAY AWAY from this waste of money & time!!!!!

I just bought mine, and I ran it through the apartment just to see if it would pick up anything...and it picked up quite a bit. I showed it to my husband, his mouth dropped. I believe that this vacuum is worth the money and it's fairly lightweight to push. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I bought this vacuum because my old Bissel just died after having used it for approx 8 years. I had just vacuumed my house. The next day I got the
Bissell PowerTrack and decided to re-vacuum. To my surprise my carpet had so much dirt in it. This new vacuum picked up so much. My rug looked so much nicer. The pet hair attachment works really well. I have two cats and a dog. My carpeted stairs came out like new. I would definately recommend this product to anyone with messy kids and shedding pets!!!

I purchased this vacuum based on the price and out of all the others it seemed to be made the best, not really cheaply made.. But the one I got out of my box was a little beatin up, it had those dents where the plastic turns white, and the clear cover that goes over the brush bar was cracked, but that's not the problem, When you use the hose you will need to hold on to the vaccum, b/c the vaccum will TIP over do to the suction(it's very light-weight) this I did not know and the handle slammed me right in the back, pretty hard too.. overall I would recommend this vac- it does a excellent job, don't like how the dust cup is made, those green things fall out, and the vac is a short for me. But I want to also mention that my former vac was a Eureka the bright yellow one with the duster on the side and it still works great after 3 yrs, only thing my handle snapped off and I can't fix it, I've tried Gorilla glue and mighty putty any suggestions??

I purchased this vacuum a couple of weeks ago. It was very easy to assemble. The suction capacity on this model is fantastic. I have had two prior vacuums that wouldn't pick up a piece of lint. My roommate has a dog and this vacuum is great for pet hair. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone looking for a great buy.
