The reviews on this scared me- but I went ahead & bought it. This is a changing table/dresser for our baby's room- and it works great. It does take a good amount of time to put it together. However, things were clearly marked and instructions easy to follow.
It's sturdy- and if you're concerned- you can reinforce it on the back w/ an extra piece of wood. We didn't- but if it gets rocky- we will. I wouldn't stand on it- but for a changing table for someone less than 20 lbs - works fine.
I put different knobs on it and gave it a more unique look. We've gotten a lot of compliments on it.
It's not a solid finish- you can see the brush strokes which is fine. Just a FYI.
Also, this is for sale - exact brand and model - at Target for $20 more than Walmart and at Babies R Us for $45 more than Walmart.

The knobs are terrible!!

I am using this dresser in my pre-teen daughters bedroom. This dresser is pretty sturdy and solid for the price. However, the knobs are horrible. The kept coming loose and falling off till I finally bought knobs from a store and replaced them. Now its much better! Also it says the dresser is white but its not a solid white. Its more of a country style finish. Not what I was expecting but it works how I need it to!

Very mixed feeling about this dresser. I ordered online with site to store along with other items when I went to pick them up the box was messed up. Then we went to put it together and it had pieces that were broke. Took the item back and got money back to order online again. When I ordered it again it was almost $30 more then the first time!! This time I did free to home shipping and when I recieved it the box had a little damage, again. The edge of the dresser is messed up, but with my baby coming any day I decided to not send it back. I do like the look of the dresser and it was easy to assemble. Some parts of it seem very cheap and when you hammer then nails in be sure to be VERY easy or it will split the drawers....

Short term good buy

This dresser was great for the short term childs dresser. Rather easy to put together, only needed a hammer and a phillips screwdriver. I have triplets and needed to get two of these. Took approx. 2 hours to put together. Taken care of it could last many many years.

We bought this dresser for our four year old. We also purchased the mirror, night stand and bed. My hubby works in construction, so he had no problem putting it together. We did site to store delivery and had no problems with damaged/broken pieces like other reviewers had. My only worry is that the drawerers are on plastic sliders, not metal. Overall great starter set for the price if you know someone handy who can put it together!!

ALL THE SCREWS AND NAILS WERE STRIPPED AND THE WOOD WAS SPLIT. I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WOULD LOOK GREAT WITH MY RECENTLY REMODELED ROOM AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. THANK GOD I WAS ABLE TO RETURN IT AND GET MY MONEY BACK. AND THE DIRECTIONS WERE WORTHLESS TOO. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT BUY IT!!!!!!

Had to return the first order due to broken boards and missing parts and should have returned the second order as it had the same broken board which it seems to me they are packed WITH the broken boards as there was plenty of packing material around the contents. One drawer will not fit correctly and the back is nothing more than cardboard. Afraid to open the mirror as there doesn't seem to be any place to attach the mirror to the dresser. Am tired of ordering junk from this company.

It came damaged and pieces had boot marks all over it from people walking on it. It does the job and is cute despite the damages to surface of it. Would not buy again though because of the condition it came it.

This is a beautiful set for my 10 year old. Only problem was when we opened the box one of the drawer's corners was chipped. But a little white paint and ya can't even tell. Very easy to put together and sturdy. Great set for such a wonderful and unbeatable price.

I purchased this item online and had it shipped to the store. When i opened the box, one of the wooden pieces located in the middle of the box was broken in half. Now to avoid any additional charges, I have to take the item back to the store of which is extremely heavy. Also, the directions for assembly are hard to understand.

We ordered this dresser to go in our daughter's 'big girl room'. It is a great size and looks nice. It did take a little while (about 2 hours) to assemble but it is very sturdy. The only negative was that there is one minor place on the top of the dresser where the paint looks to have cracked a small amount. It's hard to see, but you can feel it if you run your hand over it. They probably would have sent us a replacement piece but it isn't that big of a deal to us, so we aren't messing with it.
The color is a more of a creamish/white than a true white so just keep that in mind. We also chose to buy clear/crystal knobs to switch out with the ones that came with it- it changed the whole look of the dresser and really dressed it up!

The drawers are only half as deep as the appearance from the outside. I'm not sure why the inside wouldnt be made as large as the actual drawer itself. It is a waste.

Not fun to put together

This was very difficult to put together. We bought another dresser and crib for our baby and this was for our daughter. This dresser was in the smallest box. We knew there was going to be a lot to do. None of the hardware is attached to the dresser. My husband did it himself and it took him 4 hours. He put together the other dresser and crib In About 45 min. He said it was horrible. Also be warned this color is not pure white. I will say for the price once put together its not bad. The drawers are very smooth which is a huge plus b/c the last dresser kept getting stuck. The reason I say I don't recommend it was b/ c of the difficulty putting it together.

I got this for my 4yrd daughter for her new room make over. I was watching this product online on multiple sites and reading reviews. When i saw walmart had it a steal. I ordered it and waited. I arrive quickly less the a week. some people said it cam chip. But mines was wrapped in plastic well. Everything was labeled and written well. I put it together with my husband, that took 2 hours it may happen less if i wasn't watching kids and he used the wrong screws. Besides that all was a go. I hate the knobs they look like they need another coat of paint. the dresser too looks like that but more of a distressed look somewhat. I replace the knobs which were on sale at target and made the dresser pop. Now i love the dresser more than every. The Best thing i love but was different is that the brackets the attach the dresser to the drawer is made of plastic, one the snap n the draw doesn't come out so easy. So i am not worry about the dresser falling on her.

When my dresser arrived, the box was a little damaged so of course I was a little nervous. The product was in great shape and all the parts were there with a lot left over in the end. I hope I didn't miss any steps...Some people were saying how it only took them about an hour to assemble, my dad and I put this together and it took us 3 hours. The instructions were sort of complicated and we could have used a third person to help hold a few pieces together. But when it was finished I was amazed at how beautiful it turned out. Yes the paint is a little streaky but I think that adds more character rather than just plain white! I also bought chrome knobs because the knobs it came with are hideous! All in all, amazing dresser, great quality for $160!!

This dresser is adorable and looks great in my baby girl's room! It's a great dresser for the price. My husband put it together and didn't have any problems. I love this dresser and am planning on buying the chocolate version for our little boy we're expecting! As others have said, the color is not a true white, it's more of an off white so beware of that before buying it. My daughter has a white crib and it still looks great with it.

Fantastic dresser. looks great, really solid. It is very heavy. Assemble it where you want it to be. I am an above average builder, so when I say it is a long process to put together it is. It is not difficult, do not misunderstand, but it takes a couple hours to assemble.
