My husband put this together alone -- took 4 hours. The instructions have no words; only pictures. It is well made, I just think the instructions could be more helpful.

Great way to complete the platform bed. Love the storage shelving. We didn't see how to attach to bed as the holes didn't line up and the store assembled the two pieces separate as requested so we could fit it our room. But we just pushed them together and wedged a towel behind the headboard for a very snug fit without wiggle room.

It's a very nice looking piece, but if you dont' put it together right the first time its not very forgiving.
In any case my 13 year old daugter loves it, we have not put the bed together yet, but it looks like just what we wanted. The white paint job isn't very good but you could always repaint.
It's a nice headboard my daughter can put all of her girly things and a small nice lamp that I found for her in the headboard.

I was excited to get this new bed for my daughter. However, the measurements were incorrect. There is an inch gap from bottom of shelves to supporting legs. therefor, more supports pieces on the bottom were unable to be attatched properly. Thankfully, I was putting this up in a corner of the room so the walls can hold this up. I like the appearance of the whitewash, it matches her purple walls well, but that gap was too much of an eye sore, so I had to doctor somethings up. I would like to have some of my money back due to the inconvenience of spending money on something that isn't exactly how it is supposed to be, and not because of me.

We bought two of these beds for our daughters' room (sold their bunks as they are SUCH a pain in the butt to make the beds). These were not hard to put together and are BEAUTIFUL. The girls absolutely LOVE their new beds. They looks so beautiful in their room. I'm so glad we bought these. And if you need a mattress, look for the mattress in a box (about $125?). Seriously, it is so dang comfortable that I went into their room to take a nap the other day than in my kind size bed with expensive mattress. No joke!

This headboard is the highlight of the bed. Took my husband a little longer to put together than the bed, but I truly like the style. It would especially be great in a smaller room where you cannot use a nightstand. I cannot wait for the rest of the room to come together but we are very pleased with our purchase and the company south shore.

I was able to assemble this as a beginner. You do need two people to assemble as, you need to hold pieces to stay together with pressure on both sides of book shelf otherwise, parts easily fall off dowels. It came with everything you need except screw driver . It is super cute especially for the price! Prompt delivery to Walmart in store. Recommended!!!!

Nice looking and inexpensive, easy to put together. Only problem is that the box it was shipped in is a little light on padding so one piece was broken. Quite a disappointment to have to order and wait for a replacement part. Ordering it was easy and they gave me no hassle.

I ordered 2 of these, with the twin mates bed w/drawers & 2 of the nightstands. The beds BOTH arrived broken & while were were in the process of returning them, my husband attempted to put together one of these. There were too few holes pre-drilled. While my husband is capable of doing this, we decided to return the whole lot, due to the poor quality. The beds, by the way, arrived in boxes that appeared completely undamaged, another nod to the quality. They are made in Canada, if anyone is interested, though clearly not to any higher quality standards than any other country.
