Unfortunately there is a opening downside of front door. Lots of crumbs drop through to the counter top each time you open and close a front door.
Apparently this is a failure of design. And marketing staff of Sanyo overlooked it. I will never recommend this toaster.

This product was pretty much what I had been looking for. I did not read the detailed specs and it was a little too small to accomodate the pans I had intended to use a lot in it. I checked on the manufacturers web site to see if they sold this same unit in a larger size. Unfortunately they do not. I returned it but would have paid more for a larger identical unit. It is better constructed than most I have looked at. The controls are easy to use. If the interior size meets your needs, this unit is worth the extra cost over many less expensive models.

We mostly use our toaster oven for toast and bagels and warming rolls which this does quickly and well. We haven't had it very long but are very pleased with it. A small frozen pizza will fit in the oven and it came out great. The only thing I wish it did is let you know how much time is left on the timer. The buzzer can be heard but is not too loud. It looks great and doesn't take up too much room on your counter. I am very pleased with my choice. Since it is convection you need to go slightly lower on the temperature than a regular oven.

Just purchased this and wanted it for baking and toasting but the inside is so small and non of my previous pans from other toaster ovens fit. I attempted to bake a cake/cookie in the pan they provided but it spilled all over (eggs in dough) but it was all I had to fit. Never should of attempted. It is compact and cosmetically pleasant but if all you want to do is toast or heat up pizza then it's good but for the money it should do more. Can't return it but my daughter only warms up food so she gets it and off I go to get another one but this time in person not ship to store. Durability don't know just got it yesterday. Reviews are very subjective so word of mouth is better.

We purchased this toaster oven at the recommendation of both Consumer Reports and after reading consistent, positive customer/owner feedback on another website. We were originally going to purchase a toaster oven AND a toaster, but with the Sanyo, there is no need for both. It's a great product, is space-saving, toasts bread perfectly (1-4 slices), cooks and bakes great, is reasonably priced, AND it doesn't catch on fire like our previously owned Black & Decker! Love the convection oven, too...it's fast, and it's perfect every time.

Haven't had this Sanyo long, but so far it toasts well, and bakes/broils items more thoroughly in less time, without scorching or burning.....nice. Also looks very nice on the counter, not cheap looking. I don't think it will develop the dreaded heat discoloration so many toasters experience. Replaced a piece-of-junk white Euro Pro toaster oven, where the door wouldn't com- pletely shut after one year, and was more brown than white after 8 months!

The Sanyo Toaster Oven has exceded our expectations. It toasts very quickly, evenly, and with the right amount of darkness. The crumb tray opens to the front, making cleaning up the crumbs very easy. We have used this product for bagels, rolls and bread, both frozen and not frozen with excellent results. We have not yet used it for baking or roasting etc. We have noticed that sometimes the red light stays on even after the toaster has beeped that it is done, but since we unplug it after each useage (as recommended in the instruction booklet) that hasn't been a problem.

This is a very powerful toaster oven. Compaired to my old Black & Decker product which took 30 min. to cook frozen chicken nugggets, this one works much quicker. However, I have been burning my food many times even I set the power level @ lower temp. I may need more practice to get use to it. Also, the tray position is rather high and not adjustable, a bulky food such as a croissant gets burned on the top part easily.

The product has a good rating form consumer reports but my problem has been getting the toaster without being damaged from shipping. This is my third attempt to get a good toaster. The first came in and had been opened. The second came in a new box but when I opened it, the toaster had a dent in the front door. I am waiting on my 3rd order hoping it will come in undamaged. I am sure once I get the toaster it will be a good one.
