I have purchased this book for myself and several friends and family members. It is a great gift idea for those who want to learn the basics of cooking. It also is very nice gift for those who are getting married, leaving home or starting a family. I have had this book for over a year and I still refer to it. It is my favorite cookbook and believe me * I have a lot of cookbooks*
