Coleman 2-Person Inflatable Sit-on-Top Kayak With Paddles

We purchased the kayak to use in Mexico on the Sea of Cortez. It was easy to transport and performed well. It is easy to row and very stable. We used it everyday. We fished from it and also "swam with the dolphins." A great product at a great price!

I bought this kayak last year on-line from Walmart - and we love it. We take it up and down the river in WV. My oldest daughter (7) can even handle this by herself. Sometimes I'll sit in the back, my oldest in front and then my youngest daughter sits in front of me facing me. Everytime we go to the river, people ask where we bought it and how much did it cost. What I like about this kayak is that being a woman, I can handle it by myself. One of the paddles did break already when trying to push off a rock - just had to buy a new one.

We recently moved to a house on a lake and thought this would be fun for our 18 year old son. He loved it! It seems quite durable and is much more maneuverable than some previous reviews indicated.

Inflates quickly and easily with a 12 volt air pump using the correct adapter. I had to shorten the length of the adapter in order to inflate and seal the valve without losing inflation. After that it was a "breeze". Have only used the kayak once so far but was satisified with quality, performance, tracking, stability, and buoyancy. Great value for the price; Walmart.com had the lowest price on the net.

If you're looking into trying kayaking, this is an econimical way to start. This unit will fit in the trunk of your car and set up in 10 minutes. It handles well on the lakes and streams. I've loged over 10 hours this past summer and enjoyed every minute.
Remember to check with your state laws on licenseing and remember to use a personal flotation devise.

I read several positive reviews about this kayak and thought I would give it a shot. I was not dissapointed. My kids and I used it several times on a weekend camping trip and had a blast with it. We used it on a small class 1 river, and thought it was easy to stear, and that it was durable, it got bounced off logs and a couple of boulders without incident. The cargo netting is a nice touch on the ends for holding small items such as a small soft sided cooler. I would definately reccomend this to anyone in the market for an inflatabe. Much nicer than the rubber rafts that I have bought in the past. One last thing, buy the matching Coleman pump. I bought the rechargeable one and it worked great, whole thing up in about 2 minutes!

I'm 72 yrs. old and have never been in a Kayak, but, read just about every review on the SOT Coleman, so I had no surprises.
My wife does not like small boats, (I think she'll come around), when some of the reviews stated one person can handle it and it sails well, with only one on board (seating in the rear seat) that and the price sold me. It's light enough for me to carry (one handed) by one of the paddles (tied to the two holders on the side). and it does sail great!
It's a good way to stay active.
A REAL pleasure dealing with Walmart

The kayak itself is wonderful, me and my wife enjoy every minute we are on it. There is one major problem, the paddles. I personaly had to go and buy a real paddle cause the paddles that come with it suck. The paddle kept coming off the stick, I dont know if it was just mine being a manufactor defect or what but plan your first time out in it somewhere where you can make it back to land easily. Once I got some good paddles me and my wife went about a half mile down the river with no problems and had a great time. Love the kayak buy you will need to buy extras such as life jackets and paddles.

We have had this product for a week and have been out on it four times already on the local state park lake. Would recommend a high output coleman pump to air it up with as a battery powered pump would be slow and require new batteries often as this kayak has 8 air chambers to fill up. Also dont forget to get registration for your kayak if your state requires it...Ohio DOES:( only 20 bucks though. we made a piece of plexiglass -filed down the edges- and put the sticker on it then wire-tyed it to the straps in the cargo net. (could you imagine putting stickers on an inflatable boat? lol) anyways this kayak is awesome and very stable. We are also bigger people and have not flipped it yet even though we have tried. this is the most stable kayak we have ever been on!! Next were going to try fishing from it... lol. (with an ice fishing- fishing pole!) THANK YOU Coleman for inventing the awesome valves... air doesn't leak out while you try to shut the valves wohoo!! Seats are extremely comforatable. Paddles are nice because you can break them down (will fit even in the smallest of cars) although the grips are a little bit out of place and akward for us... but probably just depends on how tall you are!! Great Kayak!!!
