This Step2 Twin Bed features sturdy, double-wall resin construction that won't splinter or break in attractive muted tones that won't go out of style. Beneath the twin bed sleeping platform is a full 28 cubic feet of storage space to ensure a tidy bedroom, while high side rails keep young sleepers secure. Which, of course, means a better night's sleep for children and their parents alike.
I have had this bed for 3 years. I have taken it apart and reassembled it in different rooms many times. It's easy to pull apart and relocate and remains sturdy. My 8 year old has jumped on this bed and it takes the abuse without showing any wear. There is enough room under the bed to slide 3 large trunks with my sons toys in them. I have recently moved from California to Maine. I left all my beds behind except for this one. It pulled apart so easy to load in the truck and reassembled quickly when we arrived in our new location. This bed will always stay with me. I consider it a great buy.

This is an excellent bed. Bought for my very active, four year grandson. This is a very sturdy bed. I do recommend a piece of plywood for added support. Love this bed

Just what I thought

My 4 yr old loves this bed. I read a bunch of reviews before purchasing this bed and decided that we would get it anyway. My husband is really good at putting things together so we had no problem what so ever getting it together. We also bought the separate wood board from lowes that you need for underneath the mattress because you cannot use a box spring or it would make it higher than the bed rails. To sum it up the bed is great and sturdy up against a wall, it hides a very large amount of items underneath, buy the separate plywood board(I forgot the measurements, but it is a little smaller than the measurements of the actual bed so it will fit inside of it), and in my opinion it was all worth the money and putting it together was not difficult. With 2 people it doesn't take long to put it up. It is very big though FYI.

I was very disappointed, this product was packaged in a box that doesn't seem original box. I couldn't finish installing it because some screws and locking pins are missing, Called the manufacturer and they will be shipping the missing pieces.

I got the site to store. Box was huuuuge! had to come back with a van. But the whole bed took me only 1 1/2 hour to put together it was so easy. just stapping pieces and a few screws at the end. I also know it will be a snap if i ever had to take apart. My son screamed when he saw it and was crawling through the space underneath and just loved it. Feels very secure and sturdy like it will last a long time. Dont even need a boxspring or board. Def great buy...

Site to store shipping came super fast, assembly was a breeze! My son adores this bed, it's at the perfect height for morning wake ups no back breaking bending over like traditional beds. Well worth the price and feels indestructible

I bought this bed to move my toddler from his crib that was too small. The raised sides prevent him from falling out. I put the bed together in less than 30 minutes. I was skeptical about the stability and sturdiness, but after seeing my 3 boys (aged 13, 8 and 2) playing underneath--I'm glad I bought it. I would definitely recommend this bed.

What can I say. My husband bought this bed as a last ditch effort to get our little boy out of our bed and it worked. Ever since we set this bed up for our just turned 3 year old little boy. He went straight to it and has been sleeping in it every night since. With that being said you have to know that we never thought we would get our little guy out of our bed. He has been sleeping in our bed ever since he left the crib. So to say the least this bed has been a delight to our marriage and to our little precious boy.

Is in Heaven! My son just turned five and got this bed for his b'day! He came out of the IKEA junior bed that he was in from age two when he came out of his crib... baby steps! My twin 3 year olds are looking at their "wittle bedz" and asking where their "berry big bedz are"???? They'll be 4 in a couple of months and I PRAY these go on SALE in a BIG way before I need 2 more!
BUT, worth every pennie!!!! I put a bunkie board #had cut to fit out of plyboard# under Xan's twin temperpedic mattress and it's perfect### he still has 'lots' of "safety" room so he doesn't fall out!
The play area underneath was a hit for about 3 days### and that was it! I now store the "out of circulation" toys under there### pretty great!
So, I put it together in 20 mins and then it took me 20 mins to get him to climb the ladder to get in it### and he hasn't given me the "I don't like my bed anymore Mommieeee" excuse that translates into "I wanna sleep w/you"### NOW, it's "MOM, do you wanna sleep WIF ME??"
Step2#### changing the way I "Mommmieeeee"#### =))

I got this bed for my 3, almost 4, year old grandson. He was getting too big for Car Bed, which only held his crib mattress. He loves the bed! His mom & dad say that he now sleeps the entire night in his bed without coming into their room. His room is not very big, but the bed fits fine because it is no more than a twin size and.... there is storage and play space below the bed. That is a plus. His mom & I put the bed together in minutes. It was so easy.
We bought a really good twin mattress. You really don't need the box spring part.
That's his mommy trying out the bed after we put it together for him. It seems that Santa's Elves left it for him while he was in preschool.
I think that this bed will be good for him for many years. So glad I got it for him.

I got this bed for my 4 year old son who had out grew his toddler bed. He loves it. It was very easy to put together with my dad in about 15 minutes. We did have to buy a piece of ply wood to go under the mattress. The bed should last my son for awhile.

I'm usually one of those skeptical ppl who tend to be disappointed in a product that is orderd on line. So was a lil afraid of getting my hopes up - wanted a bed for my almost 2 y/o (youngest of 3) didn't want the tiny toddler bed did want a big boy bed but something that still had sides to protect from rolling off and also that was fun to keep my lil one interested in staying in his bed. The only beds I saw out there that seem to fit the description were car beds... That is, until I saw this one.
So far, I love love love this bed!!! We got it on sale and It arrived way earlier than expected, the box is pretty light weight although the bed is huge. It also was so easy to put together almost like a giant Lego project lol. The moment it was up all the bigger kids couldn't get enough of playing underneath as a secret hide a way bunker.
Like many of the reviewers, we put an extra full board over the mattress support rails for extra support and so that the "underneath" was completely closed off. Some reviewers said they bought a bunk bed board we just went to Home Depot and bought a 1/2 " slab of plywood, had them cut it to exact size & that's it! So easy so effective!!
Overall, very happy with this purchase!!

I bought this bed for my 3 year old who was getting too big for his toddler bed. I shopped around for several months before making my final choice. This bed won in every catergory over several other options! I am more than satisfied with my purchase. It was very easy and fast to assemble, great value for the price, and will be around for many years as my son grows! I reccommend this bed to any child 3 and up to 10. My son is able to easily climb in and out of his bed without trouble and it is a perfect height! This bed is extra safe during the night with absolutely no way to roll out of it!! He loves his "big boy bed" and is proud to show it off to everyone! Way to go Step 2, great design!

bought this bed for my 3.5 year old and he loves it!!! the height of the bed is perfect and then he is able to hide underneath for his own little cave. I'm a single mother and it only took me 30 min to put it together. I'm using a twin mattress and it works great so far. I also do site to store pick up and it was ready in 3 days... highly recommend

Review 19 for Step2 LifeStyle Twin Bed
A very lucrative purchase!

My 25 month old son recently converted to a "toddler bed" from his crib. He did very well in that bed for about 3 weeks. For the next 4 weeks he slept on the floor next to his bed on a makeshift soft pallet I created for him to maximize comfort. I searched for loft beds geared towards toddlers, fun themed beds, and came across this bed. At first I was hesitant because it didn't look very pleasing to the eye.
After further research and reading the positive reviews, I decided to give it a go. The price to me was a little bit on the high end, but couldn't help to try.
We are extremely pleased with the purchase. He loves climbing up the stairs and going into his "big boy bed". There is also some crawling room underneath the bed that him and his friends love to utilize as their secret space. It's a very high functional bed, for many great adventures! The set up was about 30 min total. You will need to purchase a bunkie board to stabilize the mattress on top. The price was well worth a happy toddler boy!
I'm 5'6" and 145 pounds, my husband is 6'2" and 190 pounds and we all fit in there at night time when we read bedtime stories to our lil one. The bed is very stable, and I can see it being a bed our boy can use until he's at least 8 or 9 years old.
The bed has some rough spots as it tries to imitate the wood appearance. It isn't too bad, and our son hasn't complained yet. Overall this was an absolutely great purchase! I highly recommend it for an active child who doesn't necessarily love bed time :)
