Open Sided 3-Shelf Bookcase Black and Light Oak is a spacious 3 shelf unit used for display purposes. The sides of this book case are open. The wooden planks are light colored and the supporting posts are black colored. This combination of black and light is a visual treat to look at this 3-Shelf Bookcase. This Light Wood Bookcase is easy to assemble. Assembling of this book case can be done manually without any tools. Each shelf has the capacity to hold 55 lbs weight. Shelves are scratch resistant. There are five sides to this book case. The total measurement of the Open Sided 3-Shelf Bookcase Black and Light Oak is 26-1/4 width, 11 depth and 27-1/2 height.

I bought this shelf for my home phone, and I put books on the lower shelves. It is very easy to assembly, and looks very nice in the room. I ordered it to be shipped to my Walmart store with free shipping, and I got the email that it was received really quickly. I like it so much, that I ordered another one.

I needed bookcase to fill a small space. The challenge was finding one to fit the measurements of that space. There could be no deviations in length, width or height. Finally, I found this one on-line. It was ready for in-store pick up in no time and assembled in less than 5 minutes without tools. Legs are black and plastic shelves are also cheap it looks decent but it came with the corners chipped and broken would rather get at a store when i can see if there is damage before i buy had to build it so all the broken corners are on one side to the wall

I purchased 2 , one to hold my television (15" flat screen on middle shelf) and cable box on the lower shelf. I also put some collectibles and photos on the top shelf. The 2nd was purchased to fill the wall space, it also has photos and collectibles on all 3 shelves.
I think they are better for displays like mine than for being filled with books. I do not feel they are heavy enough to support more than paperback books. Hard back books might be too much for them.
I like the look of these bookcases.They look very clean lined and modern and matched the rest of my wood furniture finishes.
The were nicely finished and when put together- by screwing the shelves together with the uprights was less than a 10 minute job.

broken piece, contacted manufacture and left message 2 times and they have not gotten in touch with me. Having to use it upside down because the 2 screw-in foot pieces were broken upon arrival.

Although not necessarily a designer look, it is very utilitarian and functional. It is the easiest do it yourself piece of furniture I have ever put together. I would say five minutes max. I have two other shelving units--the larger units that I have made taller, and I actually put this shelf on top of the other two. You can mix and match and adapt or readapt them to your own use in just seconds.
The plastic shelving that i have is a light color and the plastic dowels that hold the shelves are dark. They are not exactly beautiful, but as stated, these shelves are for function and flexibility. if you stack them higher--I turned my three into two 5 shelf units--be sure to tie them to the wall with screws and webbing, included with the taller shelves.

I bought 2 of these shelves and they are working out great! There weren't any directions in the box, but it only took minutes to put them together and they are very lightweight. They look really nice in my house. I noticed that they are sold out right now.

I purchased three of the three shelf bookcases to fit beneath the windows of my apartment. They were delivered quickly and went together amazingly well. Very easy to handle and to assemble. The uprights actually twist together securely too. They fit perfectly where I wanted them and look even better filled with books.
