D-Link DGL-4300 Wireless-G 108Mbs Gaming Gigabit Router

I have loved dlink products for a long time. I had an old router from dlink that as far as I was concerned was working well, (by old I mean 2 years). A friend was having trouble with his so I began to research a good modem, of course I looked up dlink, and found this one. It looked so good I ordered myself one.
I felt I didn't need one, but once I got this hooked up it increased my speed at least 100 percent. I have a static IP address and needed help to set it up, (if you don't have a static IP address and you aren't too computer literate it is really easily) I had to call tech support and they were most helpful. Tech support with dlink is by far the best out there. This is considered a gaming router, yet I have found that it is great all around router. It has a wide range of wireless capicity and 4 ports to hard wire others. There is little to no lag time, even when playing multiplayer games on line or with my PS3.

I bought this router after my last one (airlink101) gave out. I've tried many other routers (Linksys, Netgear) and none of them are even close to as good as this one.

This router done everything you want it to, plus more. It has GameFuel priority technology. Which is basically just this router's version of a tuned up QoS (Quality of Service). GameFuel really helps to give certain programs priority over other programs. Like, online gaming over IM'ing or file sharing. If QoS wasn't on, all programs would have the same priority, so there would be lag in games if that were the case.

The router comes in a very nice case, so you don't have to worry about having an eye sore on your desk. This router has a shiny front panel, with blue LEDs. It also is a little bit longer than a normal router, 7 and a half inches long.

One thing that really impressed me about this router is it's range. This router, with the included 5 dBi omni directional antenna, covers my entire home, 100% signal coverage, everywhere. (2500 sq ft). This router actually beat the range on one of my old wireless N routers, which claims to have 4 times the range of G routers. This router has a transfer rate of about 108 mbps, that is, if your using D-link brand adapters in your computers. A D-Link WDA 2320 desktop adapter will give you 108 mbps transfer rate on this router.

The only negative about this router is the brightness of the LED lights on the front. They light up my room at night...... so if you have a night light, you won't need it anymore :D.

But overall, the LED brightness is a small price to pay for the quality and the dependability of this router. I would not recommend any other router but this one to anyone. Its just out done itself.
