No one should be without one of theses GPS units now a days. It also might put an end to all those fights with the wife while traveling. It takes out the guess work with directions.

I purchased this product as a Christmas present for my husband. When he first plugged it into his truck, it worked for approx. 30 min. and then stopped working and had a continuous message across the screen saying "signal lost". We repeatedly tried to reboot the GPS as the instructions stated, but to no avail. He took the GPS back to Walmart and traded it for a more expensive Garmin GPS, and it has worked perfectly.

This is a fantastic Garmin navigation unit! So easy to use I even got one for Christmas for my electronicly challenged in-laws. They used it on a recent trip to Florida that took them right to the door of the address they programed in. Great touch screen and super simple to understand and use.

I bought my Garmin330 about 10 months ago and have I've had excellent service with it and use it almost everyday. You see I'm retired and needed a parttime jobs so I went to work for a Pizza delivery company and from day one it has helped me find 99% of the addresses I've needed to find. I bought the Garmin Streetpilot as a present for my girlfriend. We both like to drive around the area, but most of the time we know where we're going. The directory, however, leaves something to be desired for. As with all GPS units (on all price levels), the directory is the same as you would find on the internet with one catch. If there ever was a location in that spot, it's listed in the directory in the unit. The problem with that is: it will take you to non-existant places. For example, last weekend we wanted to go to Wal-Mart. We knew where it was but we didn't know the fastest way to get there, so we clicked the one we thought it was. We were one town over, but the complex we were taken to had everything but a Wal-Mart. The reason was that it was in the directory and it took us to that address. Whether there was one or there will be one, it's still in there. I can't say that the directions the unit gives or the ease of use is lacking, but I can say that it is a great product for the money. I do caution the buyer that some entries in the directory (like entries in the phonebook) are no longer in existence. Other than that, enjoy the product. I know we have.

Overrall this GPS has everything you need. No fancy bells or whistles, which i really don't think you need. It does tell you where to turn but does not say the street name, which works for me. The only thing, is that, it gives you the long way around, does not offer a different way unless you pass where you were suppose to turn. If that is all i can complain about than that is pretty darn good. Definitely would recommend to others. A must have..

I purchased two of these for christmas gifts. Now I wish I bought 3 or 4 (including one for myself). As my good friend opened the box and starting playing with the features we were just more and more surprised by everything the Garmin had to offer. When I gave him an idea what I paid...he was even more shocked and further thirlled with his new toy. Why buy anything more expensive, when this product seems to do it all.

WalMart's sale price before the holidays was the reason I bought this as a gift for my husband. Overall great value. My research indicated that this is the top of the no-monthly-subscription-fee GPS units and has proven a great product for us. Only negative--the maps were not current out-of-the-box. They can be updated, for a fee, but wouldn't you think they'd be current for first use--or at least provide 1 free map update with purchase?!

Very easy to progam and make work. Works very well for getting you from point A to point B and back. It misses my driveway by 500 feet. So far it has given very good direction. For the most part the dirrections have been very good only one time to this point it has been worng but, so was Map Quest. For someone who gets lost easly it is great!

This product works very well, and is very reasonably priced. It is larger in size than some of the newer Garmin models that cost more (it is not a flat-panel display). I noticed when I purchased the product that there was an optional mount package available. The unit comes with a suction-cup mount, but I found out when reading the "Important Safety and Product Information" pamphlet, that using the suction-cup mount is illegal in California and Minnesota; so I will have to either purchase the other mount or figure out something else.
