If you like a good love story, or perhaps a gripping mystery, then this is for you. Shining Through showcases the World War II era with it's Andrew's Sisters' music and encapsulates the epic struggle of the Allies against Axis Powers. It doesn't hurt that the gorgeous Melanie Griffith and Michael Douglas are teamed up here either. Even the reflective manner in which the story is told leaves you with a nail bitter to the end. This story is well worth your time investment and if you're like me, you'll be watching it again and again. It's really that good.

This story is about espionage in Germany during WWII. Melanie Griffith portrays an imperfect spy who is able to improvise in life-treatening situations. Michael Douglas is an aloof handler who becomes frustrated with intervening circumstances that endanger the women spy he falls in love with. This is a dramatic film with great character portrayal.

This was the first movie that I ever watched and went right back into the theaters to see it again. Excellent story line. If you love the WWII era with adventure and romance you will LOVE this movie. This is one I always recommend to my friends

This is one of my all time favorite movies. I have no idea how many times I have watched it. Anytime my friends want to borrow some movies I always recommend this one! I really do not care alot for Michael Douglas but I have to say he does an exceptional job in this movie and Melanie Griffith I think this is her best movie! She was perfect for this part and played it perfect! I had it when VHS was only availible then as soon as CD's came out it was one of the first I bought! So many of my friends said they hadn't seen or heard of it and when they brought the movie back they were going to buy a copy for themselves!!!!!
