As a new cat owner I was interested in finding a soft-sided carrier that looked cozier and warmer than the traditional hard-sided plastic crates without spending $85 or more. This crate fit the bill. My 8-10lb cat fits in it nicely and was relatively relaxed in it for a 1.5 hour ride. The construction is pretty sturdy and the crate holds its shape well. The one disadvantage - as mentioned by other reviewers - is that the bottom is a bit unstable. I put a fleece blanket in the bottom to help w/this a bit, but a more rigid bottom structure would have earned it 5 stars. If your pet has a lot of energy and tries to push at the top with their head or paw a lot you'll probably need to devise a little clip lock to keep the top zipper closed. It would have been nice if they'd included one on the top like on the front door. Overall I'm pleased w/this carrier and am happy Wal-Mart had such a nice, affordable option.

I like the fact that it has handles for carrying, it is able to collapse when not in use and it has a very convenient top zipper opening as well as a front opening,great sturdy product.

Just got this product and it is excellent. Both my cats are cuddled up in it. They are 13 lbs apiece so it is a nice size. It is the lowest cost carrier I found but the quality so far is excellent. It also arrived 3 days before the earliest estimated arrival date.

This is a very useful bag, but the mesh and zipper were not durable at all.. We have a 6 pound dog and she chewed through two bags and ruined them in a matter of days...

I have a 12 week old shih tzu puppy and my husband and I love this carrier! Our puppy has plenty of room to move around but its still small enough for crate trainging. The best feature is the two doors; we can leave the one open so he can go in himself or we can open the top to put him.

Really great carrier, and a steal at $22. Especially nice in winter weather -- it doesn't absorb the cold as hard-sided carriers do. The only potential down-side would be cleanup of 'accidents' -- a hard-sided carrier would be easier to clean. Still, HIGHLY recommended.

This is the second one I purchased, (because I got another dog). It is sturdy, yet not too heavy to be easily hauled around if necessary. The maker was really thinking! The mesh is thick enough to withstand some scratching without getting messed up. There is a clip that holds the zipper in place in case your little doggie tries to scratch their way out for some midnight mischief. The design is attractive. It is great because I keep the crate right next to my bed and if I need to take my dog out in the middle of the night, I can just reach down and unzip the top for an easy exit, instead of getting down on the floor and opening up the front flap. That top zipper is nice too because my dog can ride in the car in the crate with her head out, but can't quite get out of the crate. The front zipper flap can be held up with the velco tabs if you want to keep it open so they can run in and out. Really a great buy. I have a Pom (just like in the picture) and she really loves it.

This is crate is for dogs but I have one kind of chunky cat so I got this for him. It's very easy to use and very durable. Everyone at my vet's office commented on what a great crate it is. I've seen a lot of crates that aren't nearly as nice and cost a whole lot more!

I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly Walmart sent my pet carrier. I paid for regular shipping and anticipated it to arrive in 5 days. It came the very next morning. The pet carrier is light weight, yet sturdy. It has two openings (one on top, one in front) which makes things easier when trying to load an animal that doesn't want to go inside. I folds down very slim when not in use. I really like this pet carrier and plan to buy another.

I bought this for a small adult cat, 6.5 lbs. It works very well. I like the fact it folds up for storage. The only thing I would recommend for improvement would be to have a firmer bottom; it's too soft and made Miss Boo Boo Kitty a little uneasy.

I searched Everywhere for my first pup's crate, a doxie pin. I read almost every review on this and said I'm going for it and so glad I did. It IS sturdy and quality material. Best buy for your $-this was my first walmart.com buy so I had to be sure. I can use it in home or when I travel. One minor thing is the mesh makes it hard to see inside from afar, but what else could the puppy be doing. And if he's not in there for long. I'm so glad that I went with this one. I ordered on a Sat and it arrived on Wednesday. I was expecting Thurs-next Sat. What a surprise. Take my advice you will not regret it.

This crate was great for travel with my service dog. It is quick and easy to open and close, it folds up compactly with a handle that makes carrying it as easy as carrying a brief case. For a fold up carrier it is very sturdy.

I dread taking one of my cats to the vet and the hard plastic carriers aren't easy to use when you have a very resistant cat. I really liked the opening at the top and it made it much easier to get her in. I've only used this once and of course my cat had an "accident" the first time out. Instructions say to hand wash but I threw in the washer and it came out fine. Canvas shell is easy to take off and put back on. Only disadvantage is that I believe the bottom in waterproof, however the sides are not. If you have a pet that is prone to "accidents" I would recommend using a plastic trash bag underneath carrier when traveling.
