If you don't appreciate this film, you don't appreciate what zombie films represent: ABSURDITY. They aren't meant to be taken serious. They take you to another place like all movies should. This one happens to take the same theme, but to a comedic place. Others have followed, "Night of The Living Dorks" and "Fido", but this is definitely king. What really did it for me was their genuine appreciation for the zombie genre. The movie was filled with references to genre greats such as Ken Foree, Lucio Fulci and George Romero. Enjoyable through and through...

This is what happens when night of the living dead is rewritten by Monty Python. I saw this movie and thought it would be good now it sits with a place of pride between the night/dawn/world movies and Life of Brian. It is a perfect blend of dry brit humor and classic zombie movie.

This movie is a brilliant mix of horror, action and romantic comedy (Yes, zombies and romantic comedy!). A wonderfully fresh and original movie. After seeing Hot Fuzz I purchased this movie and I am so glad I did - Simon Pegg is now my favorite comedian and Shaun of the Dead is now one of my alltime favorite movies! Get this movie!!!! It is great!

Loved this movie! It is awesome. I had to add it to my collection. Truthfully, I stopped buying movies for about a year but felt that I must have this is my collection. I looked all over and then one day decided to order it through WalMart. WalMart had the cheapest price for it by at least one-half of some of the other big stores.
If you love those Day/Night/Dawn of the Dead movies then you will love this. It is a satire (spoof) on those so you get to laugh also. I loved it!
