The South Shore Prairie 5 Drawer Dresser is a beautiful addition to your bedroom. This triple dresser is from the Country Pine Collection by South Shore. With five spacious drawers, this South Shore 5 Drawer Chest offers enough space to store extra blankets, pillows, am\sheets, and other bedroom accessories. Constructed from engineered recycled wood, this cabinet is really strong and durable. These drawers also feature Smart Glides for easy sliding and dampers for added safety. Apart from just functionality, this bedroom dresser offers an appealing look to the room. With a laminate finish and antique metal handles, this South Shore Furniture creates the perfect look to any bedroom.
I got this for our teenage sons room. It matched his other furniture very well. We had it delivered to our home so we had to put it together...that was the only negative.

Review 3 for South Shore Prairie 5-Drawer Dresser, Pine
Was expecting a more sturdy dresser. The back is cardboard and the parts are particle board. For the price, can't beat it!

I thought the drawer panel is solid pine wood because the name showed "Pine", however, all the panels are the chipboard, very very cheap material, not worth USD150, i will return the chest. I ever worked in the furnitre factory for 3 years. So I knew it.

I love the look of this dresser BUT:
Assembly took two full evenings of parts all over the floor. Drawer sliders are plastic. I don't know how long they will last. Not a free and smooth sliding drawer. Lots of friction when opening and closing.
Functions fine as a child's dresser. Wouldn't hold adult clothes as drawers are not particularly deep.
Pretty and functional.

The ONLY compliant I have is, the screw that holds the brace in the middle of the drawer is to long...They didn't account for the fact that there is a groove on the outside front panel of the top drawer (makes it look like there are 2 seperate drawers on top), where as all the other drawers are smooth. The screw didn't come all the way through the front of the drawer, but it did poke out and cause a bump and mess with the finish.

I think it is a good product for someone who needs a dresser and can't spend a lot of money. It was easy to put together, but the material it is made of is below standard.

Broken pieces after we unboxed it all. We were able to fix but it was a pain to put together. The track pieces are so cheaply made. Do not purchase.

This item requires 100% assembly and is made of particle board except for the fronts of the outer drawers. My item came cracked on one long side so I returned the whole item. The tracks for the drawers are made of plastic which will never last considering the drawers seem decent size.

Unstable & No Storage Space!

Wow. Disapointed again in another piece of South Shore's furniture. We bought the entire collection and are now stuck with it. This is the first piece that had all of the pieces in the box and all the holes were dirlled in the correct places. So, we didn't have to wait for South Shore to send us parts. We were very hopeful.
This is the most unstable of all the Prarie Collection furniture. We even put a piece of wood across the back for support and it still wiggles around when we open the drawers. I thought it was going to fall apart when we had to move the dresser across the room. I can't imagine this furniture making it through a move to another home.
The drawers look nice and big from the outside. But, when you open them up, they are about 12" deep and about 3" tall inside. Our baby room dresser: made for baby clothes! has more room and is more sturdy. By the way, the more you try to put in the drawers, the more the drawers stick because the glides/rails are PLASTIC!
Don't waste your money.

Unhappy that the drawer slides are plastic rather than metal. Instructions were not as easy to follow as another product we recently purchased from another store. Overall did not think the value was there
