Prepare your favorite dishes in your kitchen with this George Foreman GRP4 Grill. You can cook food on both the sides of the grill at the same time, sealing in the juices of the meal. Your favorite dishes can be prepared easily, in very little time. The George Foreman grill features removable plates, 72 inches of cooking surface and channels to remove grease. Cooking with this removable plate grill will allow you to enjoy tasty, healthy food items in no time at all. The triple coated non stick coating on the grill makes it scratch resistant. For bringing in the variance in food thickness, the grill features 1.5 inch floating hinge. The ergonomic handles are always cool to touch and are easy for removal and insertion of grill plates. The set also features patented channels that carry run-off grease and fat to a separate tray. The grill comes with a 72-square-inch cooking surface that allows you to cook large amounts of food at once. This grill set includes spatula and drip tray.
I ordered the grill on-line. I was wanting an extra large George Forman grill with removeable, dishwasher safe, plates. I saw the "72 inch grill", and thought, " Wow! just what I'm looking for!" . MY mistake, I did not read farther. It was 72 SQUARE inches. It would only serve 3. This would make a perfect grill for someone wanting a small grill.

Review 2 for George Foreman 72" Grill with Removable Plates, GRP4
I have owned this model of grill for over 4 years, just bought this one for my sister's birthday. We use it at least once a week for cooking chicken, burgers, shrimp, vegetables, etc... Love this grill, makes dinner quick easy for my family and cleanup is so easy!

Review 3 for George Foreman 72" Grill with Removable Plates, GRP4
Other reviews mentioned that it took a while to heat up because of the removable plates, but I didn't notice any issues. It's probably the same amount of time that it takes to heat an electric stove. I was amazed at how quickly it finished four thick burgers - it was no more than ten minutes - and they were overcooked because I didn't think to check on them that quickly. I didn't even have my side dishes started yet. Thick slices of potatoes took longer but turned out wonderfully. Really easy cleanup. Great grease pan - it held all the drippings from about a pound and a half of ground beef.

Review 5 for George Foreman 72" Grill with Removable Plates, GRP4
After purchasing the very first George Foreman 72 inch grill that was made, and using it for over 12 years, I thought I would buy a new one (the original one still works great!). WOW! What a dissapointment! The grills were cheaply made, and the top one was not even covered with the non-stick on the edges, where food would collect and be hard to remove. The grills would not stay in place when you tried to snap them in place, and the hinge mechanism was not coated metal, where food would again collect and burn, and be hard to remove.
Over all...it was a terrible disappointment, and someone needs to tell George to once again pay attention to the manufacturing of his products and put back the initial quality that was there before. Otherwise, he won't sell many of these grills!
Other than this, it was perfect! just kidding :-<

Review 6 for George Foreman 72" Grill with Removable Plates, GRP4
As an apartment dweller, I have used my fixed plate Foreman grill almost every week for a couple of years. Walmart's price on this is very good for those of us who have tired of the time consuming and messy job of cleaning the fixed plate grill.
However, partly because of the larger size and partly because of its design, this grill does not cook exactly the same way as the fixed plate. Simply put, it doesn't seem to get nearly as hot (once preheated) and a lot of steam is emitted from the back, so the sear is not as fast or as dark. I need to experiment more, since I'm not going back to the fixed plate.
That said, this is fantastically easy to clean. If you use a damp paper towel on the plates while they are cooling, all it takes is a short soak in soapy water for the plates to come completely clean. I have not had to use the scraping utensil once.
A worthwhile purchase albeit not perfect.

i read reviews and was leary about ordering this after years of the original smaller foreman. i really wanted something that cooked the same as old one but i wanted removeable grills for easier cleaning. this product works great and it's easy to clean unlike the non removeable plates. i love it!

Review 11 for George Foreman 72" Grill with Removable Plates, GRP4
Love GF grills - just replaced one that I had for over 10 years that was still working but was too small and wanted to replace with an updated one that I could take the plates off and wash them separately. The old grill didn't have the feature so it was harder to clean. Highly recommend GF grills

Review 15 for George Foreman 72" Grill with Removable Plates, GRP4
I am pleased with everything about the grille. In particular the removable grilles. However, a temperature control on the appliance would move it from GOOD TO EXCELLENT. There is no controlling the temperature, must stay with it or steak or burgers will burn.

Review 17 for George Foreman 72" Grill with Removable Plates, GRP4
I had one of the origional GF grills and loved it. My new one is much nicer and the removable grills are great and simple to use. The size is good for two or three people. The only thing I wish it had is an automatic shut off in case you forget to unplug it. Other than that its great !!

Review 18 for George Foreman 72" Grill with Removable Plates, GRP4
I love being able to clean just the plates but it is smaller than my old grill. We can only fit three hamburger patties on it instead of four. that is okay since we are down to only one child still at home, but I may buy another just like it for when we are all together. at the low price i don't mind having two.
