I purchased the Bissel Wet/Dry Flip and the Hoover Floormate at the same time so that I could try them both.
The Bissel was easy to use. I have wood floors and this is a nice vacuum for wood floors - so I did like the "dry" feature. It glided smoothly along the floor. The "wet" side was a little different. It was very resistant to movement on the floor. My hand actually hurt after pushing it back and forth during mopping and I checked several times b/c I was afraid I was going to scratch the wood floor (but it didn't.).
I ended up going with the Hoover Floormate b/c it was much smoother when using the "wet" side (e.g. it glided along the floor much easier) and it also seemed like a more sturdy product (though it was also more expensive).
So, for the price, the Bissel is not bad. If you don't mind paying a bit more, I'd say the Hoover Floormate is a better product.

Works better than steamer. Hoping it doesn't clog after extended use from hard water deposits. Easy to assemble. Cord is long enough for large rooms, but size of cleaner container is small so for larger areas will require more than one fill.

I love the flip it. It is my second one,. My first one mysteriously broke when the engine stopped running. I bought a product twice the price because I couldn't find another flip it. It cleaned half as good and broke within six months. We found the flip it online and had it shipped to our local store. My daughter and I couldn't be more happy to have it back. Our laminate floors are finally clean again.

Extremely weak suction & no real "wet cleaning" capabilities. It did clean up O.K. when it was proceeded by my "Swifter Sweeper vac" & my "swifter "wet Jet", so what's the use? I am very disappointed in this Bissell. Good idea could be great if it worked!

I do not like to spend a lot of time on my floor and with 2 little ones I end up spending lots of time cleaning. At first I loved this product. Without getting on my hands and knees my floors had never been so clean. It does not get close to the corners and under the cabinets, so some hands and knees is needed for deep cleaning. After about 2 years the top of the dirty water container broke and needed replacing. For my floors I do not need the cleaning pads and use the brushes instead. Do need to clean out the tank each cleaning.

I can now rinse my floors easily after I scrub them with the brush attachment. Great for a quick "damp mopping" alternative and the floors are cleaner with this product then the old cloth mop. I don't feel as if I'm moving around dirty water. I can see the dirty water as I empty the waste reservior.

I bought this mop because I have ceramic tiles with grooves in them and it's always very time consuming to use a string mop. I have a swiffer but since it's flat it doesn't get the grooves in my tiles and it just wipes the floor clean it doesn't have the scrub brush like this mop does. When I tried this mop, the brush definitely worked and scrubbed my tiles well but I was left with streaks of wet dirt that wouldn't get wiped up. I tried it a bunch of times and decided this was not going to work so I returned it.

I absolutely love my Bissell Flip-it and recommend it to everyone! The effectiveness of the cleaning is wonderful. Will get the dirt out of the cracks in hardwood and linoleum floors!! Floors will be shiny and beautiful once done.
Will save you money because you are not having to buy wet pads to clean your floors, the solution is inexpensive approx 5-7.00.
My only problem with it is it doesn't get under cabinets or around baseboards very well. Also, when it stops, a little of the water (may be a teaspoon) leaks. Other than that, I love this product and wouldn't trade it for anything!

I ordered this product ssite-to-store, and was not only pleased with this service, but with the product as well. I used to have a Hoover Floor Mate hard floor cleaner, which lasted five years, and the only thing that the Bissell lacks is the spinning brushes. Other than that, I feel that it does just as good of a job. I recommend this product.

I love the Flip It mainly because it gets the floors much cleaner than a mop. You are always using clean water, and the dirty water is sucked up and discarded. Also, my kitchen floor has a lot of little crevices, and the brushes help to get them clean.
The main reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it doesn't clean the edges and corners very well. If they could just put a brush on it that sticks out and gets the edges, it would be a big improvement.
Also, the dry vacuum doesn't work as well as a regular vacuum, so I just use the regular vacuum. As far as I'm concerned, they should just have wet cleaning and add the edge feature, and it would be perfect.

I recieved this a year ago for mothers day - I had wanted it since I had seen it in stores. I am the OCD type that gets on my hands and knees and scrubs with bleach water...so I was thrilled to see something that would possibly make my cleaning ritual a little less stressful. First - the machine takes awhile to get the water flowing. It is very loud so I wouldnt recommend using when the little ones are down for bed. As someone said before - it doesnt suction up the water as well as I had hoped. Lastly - after a few runs back and forth I had looked at the pad, and it was black....so I changed the pad, only to go back a forth a few more times to find the second one black. Now why on earth would someone want to 'clean' their floors with a dirty pad? So unless you have a few dozen of the washable pads on hand - it seems like a waste of time to me - and a big waste of money.
The only plus to this was that the pads are washable. However - I will stick with my swiffer wetjet till someone comes up with something a little better.
