I began using the grill with some frozen pork chops and the suggested cooking times in the instructions,and have had good results.I get best results by setting the temp all the way up during heating process,then setting temp after the meat is on the grill with the top closed.This seems to sear and seal.So far,it is great to use and saves energy by concentrating the heat to the food and in the summer will release less heat to the room for the air conditioner to have to overcome.

I shopped around for removable plates and for the larger cooking space. This fit the bill. I love how easy it is to remove and clean. I love the timer that counts down to let you know when it is ready. The temp control is also a good benefit. I had an older model and boy do I feel spoiled with all the new features. Would not hesitate to buy another one or recommend to a friend.

Bought 2 of these grills on reputation and recommendations alone, and was not disappointed. Grill surface area is quite large (enough for 4 decent sized burgers or 2 medium/large steaks) and easily unclips to clean at the sink. Timer and temp. controls are added features that come in quite handy for foods requiring higher cook times at lower temps and vice versa. Also included were 2 drip trays and 2 spatulas. The price was nice, the grill was just as advertised, and I'm happy with the purchase. Haven't owned them long enough to fairly rate the durability, but they're well constructed and I'm sure durability is a non-issue.

This is a grill you MUST get! I couldn't be happier with mine. It's even better than the one I previously had. Love the digital timer and temp gage. Unlike last time, I'll use the plastic spatulas to remove my items so as not to scratch the surface. It comes with 2 spatulas and 2 drip trays. Mine is silver. My temp gage goes up to 425 degrees. Love the timer! This grill DOESN'T drip out the back and clean-up is a breeze. I just can't say enough GOOD THINGS about this grill. I highly suggest you try it. It's beautiful and works GREAT! The quality is very poor. If you do not have the grills on just perfect the lower one will not heat. When you turn it on it is very slow to heat up. I know you must have the dis-jointed hinge to manage large and thick items but it is very hard to handle making it dangerous when hot. It most certainly could be more precise.
After I had thrown the box away I found a piece broken off the plastic skirt in front. This type of plastic cannot be effectively glued so it must remain broken.
We have used it several times and each time there is a new issue. Just not worth the money.

I bought this product for Christmas for my family and they have loved using it since. The removable plates are extremely durable and feel like they'll be working well for years to come. I admit my family doesn't own a dishwasher, and so even the plates are labelled as dishwasher-safe, I cannot attest to its dishwasher durability.
It cooks everything wonderfully and quickly (max 10 minutes for anything we've cooked, which happened to be steaks), and cooks out more fat than I knew to be in the products themselves. The LED display is easy to read and use, which is a good addition to a family renowned for horrible eyesight.
All in all, I'd recommend this to anyone. Ours works fine, shipped quickly, and seems as if it'll be around for a long while.

I replaced a Hamilton Beach grill (my second ) with the Geo. Foreman. The HB had a manual timer and heated up quickly, Finish was so so. The GF is much better looking, with more features, but needs a 6 or 7 min. warm up to get to cooking temp. So far (3 weeks)I'm pleased with it . Its easy to clean and cooks very well . The HB had an internal grease cup , the GF has one that you must position in front of the machine. A HB comparable to the one I replaced , was not available, so I bought the GF. So far its OK. I wish it heated up faster though.

Was excited to use this grill after reading reviews on it. Cooking times take a bit longer than stated. But food doesn't dry out or burn. Have had the grill for 3 months now. After cooking on it, we drain the fat and let the grill sit over-night and then clean it first thing in the morning. Very easy to clean up. Amazed at how easy to clean.
My only complaint is that the unit looks used from the day I opened the box. The outer mold of the grill, plastic gray and black areas, look old/used or worn. The clear plastic over the digital display was scratched. Box was not damaged in any way so I don't know why. Bought it online and it should have been new. The grill plates looked good so I kept the grill.
So other than appearances, I'm glad I bought it and would recommend it to a friend.

I first bought the size smaller and it was not durable at all.But this size doesn't sound and feel like it is going to fall apart when you open and close it.It also has a power on /off button and a timer and degree setting button.This George Foreman Grill was only $20 more than the one size smaller and it is worth a hundred times more.If I had to choose between this Foreman Grill and the one that is smaller I wouldn't even consider the smaller one not because of size but because of durability.The smaller one I recieved as a birthday gift and it was to replace another George Foreman Grill that my family and I had already worn out (that was twice the size of this one but I can't find it anywhere now,it was bought about 8yrs ago and used almost everyday)this grill was well worth the $20 more

This George Forman grill is not worth the money. The temperature range is only 300-425 degrees. It takes 3 times longer to lightly brown 3 frozen turkey burgers than the book says. Can't understand why the temperature constantly flashes ? Should have kept my 10 year old grill !

I HAVE NOT PUT IN DISHWASHER YET BUT THAT WILL BE NEXT. I ORDERED IT ON MONDAY AND AT DOOR ON TUESDAY, WOW WHAT SERVICE..AND I LOOKEDALL OVER THE CITY FOR ONE AND CAME HOME AND ORDERED IT. I've only had the grill for less than a week so that's why i only gave 3 stars for durability, but I really think that durability will be good in the long run because of the removable plates. I love the digital settings, it makes cooking so much easier. This is my first foreman grill w/ digital settings and I see the difference in the outcome of the meats. I used to overcook the meats it seems to me, now that I have the digital settings on this grill and can adjust the setting of the temp and know how many minutes food has been cooking. My chicken comes out soooo much better and than before. The removable plates are also a feature I didn't have on my previous grills. I also love those. So I recommend people looking to buy foreman grills to definitely get one w/ digital settings to adjust the temp and the minutes and removeable plates. This is my 1st review, and I wanted to take the time to let people know since so many other people take the time to write reviews and I do read them when I'm shopping around and I really appreciate other people taking the time to inform people of their thoughts and experiences.

I have used this model since it first came out several years ago. Earlier I used a similar model that did not have removable trays. When the new removable trays came out, I jumped on the band wagon. And I have never looked back.
Yes, it is a bit big and bulky. But it is a grill and I expect that. I have used my George to cook just about everything you would grill. I love to use it for crispy bacon and steaks cook quickly. It is very easy to clean up. Today my George finally quit on me. When I realized how many years I have used it, I could not complain. I am buying a new one today and that is why I am here :)
If you are a single person only cooking for 1, I would suggest one of the smaller models. But if you are cooking for at least 2 people, this one is perfect. When this model first came out, I paid $120. To see it listed at $69.99 is a deal.
