This book is worth a read whether you're in middle school or if you're a full grown adult. This is the first in a series of 5 books and by far my favorite of any of them. The storyline is the most original I've ever read and definitely leaves you craving more. This is very hard to put down but can easily be read in one sitting if you have the time. Otherwise, I'd say to expect 3 days or so if you're just casually reading it.

I love these books!!!! This first one, "Hawksong", is the first in the series and probably my favorite so far. Atwater-Rhodes creatively weaves a world of shapeshifters at war. She describes their worlds so distinctly and beautifully. I always swoon over the love story between Danica and Zane. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy and romance. The whole series is absolutely incredible - by far my favorite book series.
