I had one before but I let a friend borrow it and he left it on the burner for way too long at max and the bottom bulged out. He kept it and said that it is still usable but doesn't look the same so here is my second one :) Great price/quality ratio.

Having never used a pressure cooker or canner before, I was a bit intimidated, but the instructions were very clear and easy to follow.
I have cooked caramelized carrots in this (a dish that requires pressure cooking and is so tasty that it is worth buying the cooker just for that!) as well as canning over 60 lbs of chicken. Everything came out just fine when following the directions.
Before you purchase, just be aware that this product is huge. That is perfect for canning (know that while it can hold 20 normal pint jars, it only holds 16 wide mouth ones). If I only needed a pressure cooker for small amounts of food, this would not be ideal as it is really big to move around and clean, but I like that I am able to cook and can with it. It is also suprisingly light weight for it's size (when empty).

I Test ran (introduction to operation) upon pressure gauge assembly on the lid and as was recommended in the Presto Operating Manual. It was easy to regulate the pressure and hold desired psi. Will be used for canning many years and I'm confident it will pay for itself in savings over store purchased$/$canned (?) in the first year.

We used the canner on some chili. It worked as advertised. We like it though it is tall so that its top is close to the microwave oven above the stove. The instructions were good except that I would have liked some more tips like when the pressure gets too high how best to release the pressure; otherwise, we really like the pressure canner.

I've used this several times and I absolutely love it! My main reason for purchasing was for canning, which I've done a lot of. I also have cooked in it a few times and the food was cooked so fast and tasted delicious!
I only wish that it came with the extra rack for canning so I didn't have to spend a lot more to buy one.
