Step2 Stock Car Convertible Bed

My husband and I finally agreed upon this bed for our 3-year old son's transition from the crib to a twin bed. We purchased the Dorel Signature Sleep Series Pocket Coil twin mattress to accompany the bed (no box spring required). Used the "Site to Store" shipping and everything went smoothly. The mattress arrived sooner than the bed, but we waited for the race car bed to arrive so both items could be picked up at once. Race car bed is lightweight and easy to assemble. Stickers were actually fun to place! In the photo, the side rail/windows look higher. I guess this depends on the depth of your twin mattress. The sides are definitely not high enough to prevent our son from rolling out of bed. I put a back rest pillow with arms at the top of the bed and it works very well to prevent rolling. Only complaint: I hate making the bed. It's a tight fit on the sides to jam the sheet and comforter in and under. But, as long as my son continues to sleep through the night...I'll gladly stuff those Spiderman sheets under the mattress!

I bought this bed for my son who is almost 3. He loves it!! His exact words were..."Wow, how nice!" He goes in his room every 5 minutes to look at it!!

My husband put it together in about 5 minutes. It is sturdy and easy to clean. The decals are very cute too.

I would recommend this bed to anyone who has a child who loves cars!!

this is a great bed!! my husband set it up in about 30 minutes. and my son LOVES it. he transitioned from his crib to this bed with no problems. he slept like a champ.
when ever someone comes over he still has to show them his cool bed!

This Bed is very good quality. You never know what you are going to get when you order something online but we were very impressed and myhusband said it was easy to put together. My son (2 Yrs) absoutley loves it. My favorite part is that it can hold a crib mattress or a twin which is the main reason I chose this bed. If you use a crib mattress though I did have to stuff things in the sides because there is a strange space that my son falls into during the night and it wakes him up. So we put pillows and stuffed animals in there for now. We are going to get a twin mattress soon so it wasn't a big concern. Also we decided to put the stickers where we wanted because they are all going on one side according to the directions.

Love this product, and so does my 21 month old son. The only minor complaint my husband had in putting it together was the screws for the tires were not long enough, they just barely tack the tires on. I did put small pillows in the sides to act as bumpers since we are using the toddler option now and it is working great for our son. He sleeps there all night and loves to play in it in the evenings.

My son is 3 and he loves this bed. I installed it myself and it was relatively easy to set up. certain areas that should have been pre-drilled were not, and I had to use a hammer and nail before I put in the screws, however it was not so bad. I slept in it with my son a couple of times, so I fit. I'm 5'6" and 120 pounds.

not detailed instructions to mount but pretty easy to figure out. Good solid plastic and really good stickers. My son love it.

Super easy to put together and the stickers make the bed even better! My son has been sleeping in my bed for 2 years and he slept in it the first night. He loves the bed!

My sons really enjoy this bed. My younger son is in the toddler car bed and my older one needed a twin. He actually loves his new bed! Not only does he sleep there, but he also plays on it. It was a great upgrade for a 3 year old. I love that it looks great and that it has sides that are higher so he stay in bed without falling out. My only complaint is the boards that came with it. They are not thick enough and do not fit the length of the twin bed. The boards would slip creating a hole in the middle. We just went out and bought a thicker board that fit the entire length of the bed. Otherwise, we love it and would recommend it.
